Hi Janet
I had the same problem with Barley when she got to about 9 months old. What I had to do was go back to the start with her totally, I got a long lead, not the extending ones, I got mine from a horse tack centre but you can get them online now and in Pets at Home I think. Keep him on the lead and keep calling him back to your desired command, then give him a treat and praise. Then when you think he's got it let him off in a secure place and call him back but don't put him on the lead just praise him and tell him to go play. I had to do this for ages with Barley, and walk her on her own so no distractions from the other dogs. It was hard work but worth it in the end.

Hi Janet
Hope you got lots of good ideas! I have 3 Irish and I can't walk the 3 together its a nightmare sometimes. I have one that likes to run off into the distance but won't go too far on her own but if I take my younger one with her she runs off with her! So I can't walk them two together. However when I walk the younger one with her mum who doesn't run off she's fine. So they now have to go out in shifts! Great when its sunny but not good when its raining!
