About Me:
My name is melissa and I have a rescued red and white irish setter. she was kept in a a pen for the first year of her life with her mom and had a bark coller on. she was only fed and not handled at all. she has come along way and is now an energetic girl with a great personality. She likes to sleep under one specific tree in the yard and then comes in the house about 3am and stares at you until you start to wake up and then she head butts you and wants to cuddle

I had one Irish Setter Flynn, who had a thing about snails. He would pick them up, throw them at something hard to break the shell and then eat them. Disgusting. Fergus, another irish Setter of mine had a thing about frogs. The minute they jumped that was it, he would snatch them up in his mouth and swallow. He did this the first night I got him home. I knew he had picked up something but didn't know what, until I saw a leg sticking out of his mouth. He was like lightening, swallowing his prize before I had chance to open his mouth and free the frog. After that I had to be very vigilant with both of them. Aren't they just wonderful!
