Story of Irish Setters in Beijing continue...
It has been long time when I first wrote to my blog. I thought already, that was it last time also. I'm so lazy to write. Now we had earthquake in China. Some people felt that in Beijing also, but we did not have any damages here. Still people were scared quite a bit. Especially now when news from worst areas are getting more accurate. It has been worst here in 32 years. Well, we are safe and thanks for those people whom were concerned about us.
Well, back to story.
It's so nice to see, how well Tom has adopt the new role and life. It has been big change and also fast learning for him. I have to say, he's a really good one. We don't have problems with other male dogs. Thanks for everyone giving a good training guidance. We did use treats and he understod that fast. Now we are freely playing with other males. Also Tom has learned to be clean at home. We had to be away from home for longer time few days ago. I was so supprised, that our home was still clean and when we rushed outside, everything was done there. Happy "daddy" I was. Like with the little baby when it learns new things.
End of May, China Kennel association has organized even here in Beijing, where we can go and check dogs and they will be checked and recorded if they are pure blood or not. Well, Tom is going there with us also. He looks so much like Setter, but my wife had doupts. Even thou, pure blood or not, he is cute.
Of cause now, when Emily will have 1st puppys coming up on mid June, we do wish, that Tom can get records and then we'll see pure blood Setter quantity increasing in this beautiful country. We do have other worries also for puppys. Mid June, how many it will be? And my wife and I are getting our own baby (estimated time) around 10th of June. Quess in which home man will be running... I feel confused already now! How can I pay attenttion to all of them, my wife, new born baby and Emily and her puppies. Hopefully I won't be "dead" after this. But I guess it will be so fun also. Think about all the hasle in a home. Gosh!
Now it's time to start registering dogs again here in a police station. We might be facing problems again as big dogs are not allowed here and only 1 small dog / household should be okay. Now we still have to think how to manage this coming few months with these dogs. I wish, somehow local covernment would see all the big cities in world, that they don't have problems with the dogs, that problem normally lies on bad dog owners. Maybe one day there will be positive change here also. Let's see what will happen.
I will attach some pictures of Tom when we found him first time about 8 months ago and pictures which has been taken now in these passed few months (3-4) when he has been with us. I am happy that he is happy, even thou he is still sometimes worried what I'm going to do to him when I give him a big hug. He is still afraid of those kind of situations when you put your hands around him. Well, put you can see him from the pictures.
