Hello!
IRWS dog Chaersiveen Celtic Music, age 10 1/2 months, went into his first show today and finished best junior. He stacked perfectly but running he thought he was a kangaroo. Mrs Doppelreiter thinks he is a very fine dog that needs some ring training before the next show.
We are very proud of the young man.

There were 3 IRWS entered:
dogs:
Chaersiveen Celtic Music in Junior, Limelanes Bolero in Intermediate
and bitches: Limelanes Birdy in Intermediate,
Celt was Best Junior, Bolero CAC, CACIB, BOB and Birdy VG1.
Oberwart is always very difficult: middle of summer and extremely hot insdoors and outdoors.

And I am also a very proud 'mother' - Reddeer Aaron the Busybody, a two years old IS dog took 1st in open and res.CACIB - it was only his second show! We are so happy for Karina, the co-owner of this handsome dog. He sure needs more ring training, but he could go very far.

A Kangaroo would be a good name for him. But we have to add he had a really good time at the show and I think will soon settle down. All of mine were like that at his age, hell some are stil like that at much more advanced age - remember Guinness in Portorož???

Yes, I do, and I honestly think they should put a new class in for setters - the clown-setter-class - don't you agree - it should be right after intermediate and before open that should start when they are 3 or 4!

Oh yes, that would be a great class. My dogs would win that every time. Edy had toyed with the idea of jumping up on me the whole day yesterday. They think this is a great game. But that's OK, they are not machines.

And that class can only be won by the dog that makes the bigges fool of her/himself. But honestly, I am glad they behave the way they do. There are always some in the ring where you do think they are machines - even yesterday. Same as some handlers - they do the same things every time they are showing their dogs. Too much routine for my liking. Some is good, but never any unexpected movements is boring.

Well there were many frightened dogs in the ring yesterday and one or two bored out of their minds who really did not want to be there. Same as always. Any chance you have some photos of Edy? Did not see any in your web album.

The ones in the album are all I have - I meant to take some later, but then there was that Kvando thing going on, and for the BOB I was away from the ring for a moment I think...
