Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Last Monday night we nearly lost our beloved Clancy Fagan to BLOAT. I thank God I was aware that it was fairly common with Setters and recognized the symptoms.  He had emergency surgery at midnight and is now home resting quietly.  Please, don't ever wait when your precious boy/girl starts to show signs of distress!  Had we not acted quickly, our boy would not have survived.

Hope Clancy makes a speedy recovery. Our Gibson bloated in March, it did not take him long to get back to normal, Lots of TLC for Clancy.

Hope Clancy is doing better today and that he is soon back to his normal Irish self.

Wishing Clancy a speedy recovery - well done for spotting the symptoms of this dreadful condition and acting so quickly.

Hope Clancy makes a quick recovery, this is such an awful illness and it seems to be on the increase not only among our beloved ISs but other breeds as well. Friends with Flatcoat Retrievers are having the same illness do hope they find some answers soon.
