Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

My friend s beautfiul Irish Setter just had her puppies actually awaiting

the final number now - I have a brand new puppy coming to my home soon.  Can hardley wait - what a wonderful event - will post pics when I get some and when the baby finally arrives - I am driving several

hundred miles to pick this sweet baby up - I didn t want it flying -

so am renting a SUV and going to pick it up personally.  My friend

and I both lost our beloved little girls a month apart and became fast friends as a result of our loss.  This baby is going to bond our

friendship even deeper - what a special event.  Just thought I d

share.

Lynne,

How wonderful to have a new Irish puppy coming into your life.  I hope you enjoy every moment of your trip home with your new little one...do you know yet if you will be owned by an Irish Lass or Lad?  I know for us that our Molly helped heal the hearts here after losing our two old gentlemen and has brought lots of joy and love into our home which she graciously allows us to live in with her!  Can not wait to see the puppies pictures and hear all about them.  Are you sure you will only come home with one?:)

I m back and I came home with two beautiful Irish babies - one lad and one lass - Shannon is our little

girls name and having a hard time for the boy - open to ideas - cannot be Bailley, Rusty or Cody as they

are our angels waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.  Nor can it be Brody as he is our beloved 4 year old that

graces our home now - would like something Irish - and something that is fun and can end in a Y when

you call it?    I ve been on a bunch of Sites but nothing is catching our fancy - well nothing is catching

my husband s fancy - I have a few that I like - myhusband is liking Buddy but it just doesn t sound

Irish to me and very close to Brody - okay open for ideas - would love to hear.  THanks

Actually Shannon s full name is Shannon Rose - Rose is my dear friend who gifted me this precious

little girl - I just think that this is the most special gift one could receive from a friend.  Our girls Molly (my

girl and Eliza(Rose s girl) who passed are the reason we are good friends today.  We helped each other

through our losses and what a special friendship we have.  I got to meet Rose and her wonderful

husband John and all their Setters and the babies too - what a wonderful start in life they have been

given.

After 2 months we endeed up with Mac, so not really the right one to inspire you with names I am afraid .... Here is my go at it -  Reily, Finny, Seany, Kerry??? May be a source of inspiration, here is a list of Irish boy names  http://www.ireland-information.com/heraldichall/irishboysnames.htm

Thanks Chantal - I like Reilly and Kerry  hubby doesn t care for Reilly - we will check out that website.

I don t want to go with a name that I m not sure of  - my little girl Shannon Rose suits her to a T and

I hadn t even met her when I chose it - so was waiting to meet her and it still stuck.  I ve had a Rusty,

Brandy, Cody, Kelly, Bailley and Molly so those are special to those who have gone on to the

Rainbow Bridge.  We have a Brody and a Maggie right now so we just need to find that right

name for this little guy.  I have a few pics to post - very hard to catch them being still - I wait till

I think they are exhausted and they come alive again!!!  Such Joy!  Thanks again.
