Just did a quick mini dog bath here.....Molly for some reason tonight decided she had to keep going out....heard her playing with her water polo ball earlier ( for some reason she likes to play with it in the dark) and then she came in and out about five times...figured something had her interest out there.....well last time she came in her nose was covered with dirt....and paws caked with clay soil.....so into the shower she went....this time I put her in and showered her from the outside....amazed she let me do it but she seemed to like it...Thank heavens for hand held shower heads!  Then she romped thru the house with the towel I dried her off with....still has it and is sleeping on it.  Will see tomorrow where she was digging but figure she was after a mole or perhaps a bunny.....guess I spoke too soon about her not digging this winter!

Think she was after those moles last night....rain all day today so glad she did not dig today.  Hope you all are doing well and Molly enjoying some cooler weather there.

is it greenish or yellow pus like?  might be from pollen...try washing them out....may need to call  vet to get an eye cream for them....

Eunice...are the whites of her eyes really red?  and is she pawing at her eyes?  are you sure there is not anything in her eye?  Take a soft soft tissue and sort of roll to a soft point and place it just at the edge of her inner eye...so it sort of touches the yucky stuff...pull away gently so the yucky stuff comes off with it.  See if eye fills again with yunk.

Hope I will be able to decipher it after a few wine tastings!  Give Molly a cuddle for our Molly.....bet if nothing else kennel may be able to contact vet to get some eye ointment for her...wonder if it was the plant she was tearing up yesterday?  might have irritated the eye.  Is it greenish or yellowish discharge?

If you hold your hand softly over her eyes before you wipe them she should close them for a few seconds and sometimes it will get all the gunk down to the lower eye lid so it is easier to wipe out....take tissues and wipe her eyes right before you leave her tomorrow...hope you have a wonderful trip and find lotssss of yummy tasting wines!

Eunice hope Molly's eyes are just irritation from pollen or possible allergy to something in yard....and that she is fine in AM and while you are gone.....guess with all that wine you won't miss her too badly until you go to your sons!  I am off to bed here so have a great trip .  Just remember to wipe those eyes right before you drop her off tomorrow.  Hugs from my Molly to your Molly.

Hopefully they will use an eye ointment once or twice a day until it clears up ...and you will come home to no eye infection....bet they will have it all cleared up for you while you are gone.  My Shilo seemed to get eye infections and also ear infections so it was on going here.

Molly all cuddled up watching out the front window for Alan to come home.....seems she misses whoever is gone.  :)  Hope you have a wonderful trip .

Hi Eunice....hope you had a lot of fun trying out some new wines!  Are you with the grandkids right now?  Hope all is well with all your family and spoil those little ones just a tiny bit but most of all have fun with them.  Seems like they grow up overnight ( did our own kids grow as fast as grandkids do?) Hugs!

What a laugh...must have been thinking about each other at the same time as our messages were at the same time almost.  Hope you hear good reports on Molly...and rest up on your trip to Alice as for some reason I think when you first get there you will get no rest!  Hope that eye problem is now all cleared up ....might have to do wee bit of follow up to finish clearing it up but eye medicines have always worked quickly here for us.  Glad you had a great winery tour.

So no real relaxing even on the plane....hope the little ones will be tired enough with traveling to give you a wee bit of peace after you arrive in Alice and I hope your wait for a flight was not too long.  When things calm down let me know about your winery trip. Sounded like a lot of fun.

No news is usually good news!  Sounds like you are having fun with the girls....enjoy your time with them.  Let me know if you call on Molly but bet they would have contacted you if there were any issues.

We had a quick hit of snow/sleet yesterday...2 inches that is now melting and making the yard a muddy mess!!  Molly trying to not get into the mud but hard to avoid it as grass has not yet started to grow here. Will be warm here later in week so we are still on the weather yoyo here.  Spoil your granddaughters while you can. Hugs!

Glad you are back home though I bet you miss the grandkids!  nice to get a bit of rest but seems like if there is distance between us it just makes us miss them more!  Is Molly home? and if so how are her eyes?  did she charm everyone and behave like a proper Irish lady?

I worked this PM...Molly just enjoyed her day outside as we are unseasonably warm today...high of 82 degrees....now remember that only four days before that we had sleet and two inches of snow!  Crazy weather but typical of spring here. They did have the Hiberian Parade today...Irish clans and some bands and then the big corned beef dinner ...saw some of the parade on tv before I headed out to work.  Bars busy here with all the green beer.....don't have to be Irish to party here that is for sure.

We went out to dinner last night and then saw " The King's Speech" ...what a lot of history in that movie and acting was wonderful.  So that is our little bit of celebration here.

Hi Eunice...hope you caught your flight on time....and I bet they did miss their Mom!  As far as Molly's eyes....if they did not see infection I wonder if it was a pollen reaction...perhaps to the plants she decorated your patio with?  Just a thought!  How easy it is for them to get into something that can cause a reaction but hard for us to figure out what it might be they are reacting to!  Bet you can not wait to see her...and get some cuddles from her....spoil her rotten for a wee bit.  I know how bad I was when I got back from Austin last year....Alan had collected Molly day before but all she did was sleep the 24 hours til Angie and I got home....then it was a love fest!  Bet you will be glad to be home again and to settle into your regular routine.

AHhhh bet she looks cute with that ribbon.  Did she keep it in?  Our Molly does not like to wear things in her hair...or neck scarfs even....she will work the neck scarf around til she can carry it in her mouth.

Not a good welcome home for you....roof leaking?  hope insurance will take care of it for you.  Hate those storm messes!

No indication of any eye infection?"  I would sort of keep an eye on it to see if it happens again when she decides you need plants on your deck....then it might be a pollen reaction .  Smiled when I read the hair bow didn't last....our Molly takes them out and carries it in her mouth until I trade her a treat for it.  She loves to trade her stolen or forbidden items for those treats( a different type of dry dog food I use only for training treatsI

Just working a lot this week....then back to normal schedule next week.  Eunice you are having the worse luck lately at home....first the roof and now your hot water heater ( ours is in the basement here)  ....and I bet it did scare both of you big time!  Did it explode? How is the estimate for the ceiling repair going?  Sounds like you will almost end up with a new house if this keeps going on!

How are Molly's eyes?  any more replanting being done?  curious here if that was the cause.  My Molly is bouncing around playing with her Lil Squeak toy....she loves it...has had it since she first came home and still squeaks loud!  She has been playing hidey bone again since St Patrick's Day but Alan left back door open today while I was at work and she hid the bone outside and just now found it and ate the silly bone....so did not quite take a week this time.  She is fun to watch worry that bone ....keeps checking to be sure it is safe and then has to move it cause we saw where she put it. So will be picking up another one for her as I love to watch her play the game.  Has been warm here early part of this week but now dipping to below freezing again for a bit....hate that it may freeze some of the pretty spring flowers.  Early daffodils in bloom here and just look so pretty...as well as spring flowering trees....redbuds, smoke trees, Bradford pears in full bloom ...and the tulip trees.  Do you have any of those in Aussie?

Poor Molly....can't explain to her why her peace and quiet is all disrupted!  they get used to how things are supposed to be in their world and noisy changes upset them I fear.  Hope she will settle down and get used to some of the noise from next door soon so you don't have accidents inside.  I know our Molly got upset the day the guy was on the neighbors roof next door....she knew no one should be up there ....finally I went outside and she came out but kept watching the guy fix their roof.  She is so nosey....more so than my boys were.  Only thing that really spooks her when she is outside is when the helicopters come over to land at the hospital by us. They are not supposed to fly over our homes but sometimes things pile up over there and they come in this way...she runs to the door to get inside. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks it is a big bird coming to get her for chasing all the birds all the time...but it probably is the noise that hurts her ears.

I am sure your son is glad you all are coming again to watch the kids so they can get away for their anniversary.. hope Molly's eyes clear up for you....now makes me wonder if kennel put some eye medications in or if she is allergic to something in your yard. Your trip to Adelaine sounds interesting....how long will you be gone? and will you get to do some site seeing while you are there?
