Thank you for your comments on my photos. And also for the friends request. I see you are in Florida...my daughter lives in Tennessee at the moment and sometimes goes down to Florida for a break. I only have three Irish Setters at the moment but maybe having a litter in the New Year! I see you are trying to get in touch with Carol! She is on Irish Setter lovers group on FB! It is a great group mostly pet owners , who adore their Irish like me! It is a closed group but I can invite you there if you are on FB!

My boy Flame who was my rescue and my first Irish at the age of 39....wish my parents had let me have one when I was growing up. He's having rehab at the moment for a replaced Glenhumerel Ligament and doing well. My" wild Irish roses" Ruby and Poppy are a handful but I love there wild Irish ways!! It's been an absolute shock that this such lively fun loving pooch has been struck down with such a dreaded illness..... As you would no doubt sympathise with us and understand. She has had surgery twice and it was touch and go last tuesday but she is home with us now and kicking goals. We pray she will be with us a little longer as it's sadly such an aggressive cancer! We want her to run and roll in poo in the hills at home a little longer and are praying real hard. When we looked in her eyes last week, we knew then that she had had enough of been poked and prodded, not unlike my mum and her battle! So we have listened to what Shelby wants.

My English Setters, Hammer, Rose and Annie died within 10 months of each other. I will never recover from this. My English Setter, Beau was stolen more than 10 1/2 years ago. She is only 20 months old and has already had three intestinal blockages with volcanic stones found in our property, two of which had to be removed surgically. The vet says her intestines are now very fragile and delicate and that he could not operate her a third time. So the only way to keep her alive, is to only let her go out with a muzzle. Thank you for your kind comments. Actually at the moment I have 3 setters, a dog and two bitches. And on the 22nd of February we had a litter of nine puppies ( 6 boys and 3 girls). They are now just over two weeks old and have opened their eyes. There are looking very nice little bundles and I will post more photos of these pups on here soon.
