Hi Sherry
hope the bee sting didn't do to much harm it's summer here and there are thousands of beautiful golden dragon flies entertaining Elton as he leaps around chasing them it's so funny watching him

just reading through some of the comments... did your Molly get stung by a bee? Very hot weekend again Molly nearly went in the pool

I would not have a pool again.. too expensive, ours is heated with gas but we don't need that at the moment.Pool man comes each fortnight and electricity bills have risen. Mainly used the heating when the little ones came up for a swim. Speaking with someone yesterday at dog training and she said the same thing about her Welsh Springer he just sits near the edge while the owners are swimming. Molly did really well yesterday at training and now Neil has taught her to shake hands as a trick.

thanks... i thought so also starting to mature. your molly sounds unreal what a great time she has. Neil does the training of Molly and I guess I spoil her. It makes me happy that your Molly is finally enjoying her new life

we are much the same in Australia. The 60 and 70's were popular for IS. We live in a reasonable small surburb of Sydney and I have not seen any here. People come up to us and quite often say they used to own one years ago.....blah blah in away it is good that there are not many because when there was they were not looked after (not all but some)

how r u Sherry. All good here coming into another hot spell. I heard you are having snow storms over there. Hope you are all o.k. and Molly of course. Our Molly was inside again today for about 5 hours and no problem.

i will let you get dinner, mid morning here. We are o.k. but I cried when I watched the damage it caused. we were in Christchurch a few years ago and went inside that catherdal. New Zealand is a earthquake zone especially the south island. Yes things are not quite right in the world with all these things happening. We have a massive flea problem here with Molly etc. I think I will have to move them out for a few hours and do the flea bomb. Anyway glad you are o.k.

I am sitting on the edge of the lounge... no room for me as Molly and our ginger cat have taken most of the space. Watching the news from Christchurch words cannot describe. They have sent our rescue workers from NSW over there and just saw a lady taken from a building by them. New Zealand is a beautiful place we have visited there a number of times. Closer for us than WA and cheaper airfares.

Weather is warming up and no Molly no closer to going in the pool. This weekend will be very hot they say. Our summer offically ends at the end of Feb and then Autumn (fall) but the weather does not know  that.

Your Molly loves you. The postman just knocked on the door. Molly went off her head. Went outside to speak with him and put Molly in a room. When I came back she just about sat on top of me. Good watch dog is Molly.

I don't think Christchurch were ready for this.

Molly is quite protective of us. I think because he had a yellow vest on and helmet but she is usually protective. Yes the lap thing happens quite often. I hhave a picture of the last one sitting on Neil's lap. Too big to fit on

what u said is fine. It give me the xxxxx also. Molly I do not believe came from a place like that. I think with her the owner was not suitable. She sounds like a real darling. Some of the things you tell me about her I feel like giving her a big cuddle. I told our Molly the other day and I am sure she knew what I was saying. Just looks at me either that or she thought I was totally mad

yes that would be good. Has Molly seen another setter to play with. Ours has not. Molly does tip her head and looks at me with those eyes as she is taking it in. I just told her I was talking to her Molly in America and she waged her tale. now she is trying to get on the laptop.

It was a blessing that the vet talked him to taking Molly to the association. I think if the guy had a disability he could have just not been able to cope and thought putting her down was the answer. But NOT and now you have your beautiful Molly.

Do you have skype at your home

At 12:15am on February 23, 2011, Eunice Marott said…

yes you are right. I would not think a responsible breeder would sell to something who had a physically disability and not explain about IS. Molly does not like the vacuum cleaner. She usually goes outside. What is interesting is she freaks out when near kids on skate boards. What I think that could be is the noise of the crate when she was being loaded onto the plane to come to Sydney. The crate had wheels and made a similiar noise on the tarmak also the noise of the plane. It is not the kids just the noise. You should have seen her when they wheeled her into the cargo shed.. this little IS pup not knowing where she was. Also I think they are so spoilt because we lost our others. I am really protective of Molly but not the other ones I had.

Shame you don't have skype they could talk to one another ha ha.

we use sykpe to talk to our Alice Springs family. It does not cost. We hook up via video and use headphones. Sometimes the reception is poor so we just do the phone thing. When we in Europe last year I had my laptop and spoke to my friends here from Norway. so good Funny because they were in winter clothes and we were in summer. Kind of lost last winter. I am not worried about the skateboard thing. She did the same thing when the engine started on the ferry we took her on last month. She got used to it on the way back but it was very rocky and I was worried about her but she was fine. Regular forum... one has to be careful what you say.

The bones your Molly have they are not fresh are they?? Molly found her lamb shank but now she just chews on the bone of what is left of it.

I felt sorry for Tracy I think she has taken on a huge task and seems to be dealing with it. These posts can also be read. Yes my last two were a pain with the door thing that is why I have no solutions for Tracy. Both died and no solution was ever reached. Molly will try down low and then give us. She can open the screen and also the glass door if it is not latched. We went to bed a few weeks ago during that hot spell and forgot to close the glass door at the front just had the screen over. Molly slept on the lounge and it was in the morning that I noticed the door. How lucky was that. Anyway have a good sleep talk later. Molly goes to the vet tomorrow night for her sleep over.
