just sent you a picture of our last setter. Hope you did not get any others by mistake. It took awhile because I had to transfer between PC and laptop. Anyway there she is

Hi Sherry !

Thanks very much for your well wishes for Legolas...the big lad could do with a 'break' from this injury. I'm sure he's fed up with it too, can't be fun limping all the time. I have to admit his eyes are my fav feature :) they're pretty massive and he has lots of white which just seems to highlight the dark brown but then I am biased :)

Thanks again ~ Lego & Michelle

Thanks for your comments. I think I would be like your friend. My dogs are family, the people that own the wee bitch are over here now, apparently they got out on an Oil Chartered Flight, or so they said when they were on the TV this morning. If I hadn't have had the TV on and heard her voice, (that is what drew me to the TV in the first place) I would be blissfully ignorant...I just can't stop thinking about how she must be feeling. Lets face it these dogs don't adapt readily and she is only 18months old...Thank you for your support Dee

Hi again Sherry !

It cartainly is amazing what modern science is achieving in all medical fields even veterinary sccience. Like you said...who knows what the future holds ? It'll be great if this procedure works Sherry as I just can't stand to see him so uncomfortable anymore and it always gets worse in the evenings, he gets so stiff on his left side.

Brittany spaniels are beautiful, I've always thought Lego's facial markings are very spaniel like. I remember seeing a 2011 Springer spaniel calender in a shop a while ago and one of them was a ringer for my Lego.

I certainly agree with you on the communications comment. I had 3 lads up until last march, Connor (14) was my senior citizen & it was always great to see the body language & subtle signals going on within the pack. I was blessed that they all got on well. Pebbles certainly sounds like a protector ,Shilo was lucky :) Love their names !

Thanks again ~ Michelle & the lads

lots of hugs from over here also. Hope you enjoy your dinner and keep safe. Molly was so excited she just did her dance thing and ran around everywhere. Glad to have her back. Still hot here Saturday morning 8.15am. I think where I left here would be o.k. for one night but I will still take her to her regular boarding place for other times which also have a facility at Sydney airport. Drive drop dog park car and catch plane and open from 6am to 9pm each day. Pretty good. In a couple of weeks we are going to Victoria to a wine area for a wine tasting weekend. We do this sometimes. Too far to drive with the little time we have so we may leave Molly at the airport facility for that time. She travels so well in the car does your Molly travel o.k. also.  Then at the beginning of April to Alice Springs to see our darlings. Then sit put for awhile.

How lovely a wedding. I love weddings especially when they are family. It is close or do you have to travel? Australia is quite famous for our wines. We have the Baroosa Valley in SA Hunter Valley which is 2 hours from us and in Victoria where we are going, The Hunter is really commercial and I don't particularly like that. Molly is resting. How did your poor Molly hurt herself most likely running too much. Hope she is o.k. We had a beautiful parrot on the balany last night when Molly saw it she did chase it and we nearly had guinea pig stew the other night. They are fun

do you  like red or white. When we were in Europe we noticed they were selling the really horrible ones but the poms thought they were great... never mind.. I will tell you some good reds to look for

There is only me as I am an only child... good and bad about that. Try Penfolds Koonunga Hill - Cab Merlot (not expensive here but good to drink now)

Ingoldby shiraz 2000 from sa. Baroosa Valley

I will think of some more next week. Don't pay too much for these though as they could be expensive at your end. Love Dalmations and how nice to receive her ring like that. Going out soon for our usual Saturday morning thing with Molly so talk later.

while crossing on the crossing this morning Molly was nearly hit by this stupid lady who decided that crossings were not really there. Neil had her and I was behind. If she had been not heeling well as she was she would have been hit. I was so cranky and upset and particularly when the driver shock her head at Neil. Anyway she is safe and so is husband.

Your Molly is so funny chasing her tail tell her she won't catch it or maybe she will.

as I write this you will be tucked up in bed. Yes she will be going and the training did help. Mobile phones (cell) are just as bad here. There was a truck driver on the freeway who killed some people while talking on his phone and now he is on TV asking others not to talk on their phones. I think we are much the same except we are smaller. xxxx

Hi Sherry there has been so many different things said about these people, It has been said that her was a Diplomat a Oil worker, an estate agent, and with a Tourist company, but everything that is consistent is that the Irish Setter was left behind at a vet with about 100 other abandon dogs, and I don't know what her name is with them she never told me, although I did ask. she was called Charlotte here she had the red collar there are pictures of her on my page..I was up until nearly two this morning taking emails from people giving me phone numbers etc...thank you so much for your thoughts...Dee and the gang

I agree with you there Sherry. but I don't think that Gaddafi is going to give up that easily...and the US putting sanctions onto Libya is not going to work, we had them sanctioned for many years, with no result, I think that he will do as he says and fight till the last drop of his blood, and I suspect that means his family too, in the mean time all the poor dogs/animals that have been abandoned will slowly starve to death I suspect...that is the thing that worries me, how are these vets going to pay for and feed over 100 dogs let alone the rest of the animals...and all of us that have setters know that on the whole they do not do well in this kind of situation...

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers we all need to hope that this will come out well, because ''there but for the grace of god'' go a lot of us, thanks again Dee and the gang

just back. Molly went o.k. they are trying to get me to agree to let her off the lead at the end. I must admit I got upset today as when we are ready we will. She has her exam next Sunday (every 1st Sunday of the month). Wonder why your Molly is playing up today... could be the weather?
At 7:53pm on February 26, 2011, Eunice Marott said…
Your Molly sounds so funny. Where we have training it is a large grass area which runs along a large creek. At the end of training most dogs go off the lead and just run around. I am over protective with Molly as I worry about something happening to her. I got cranky with them because they keep on pushing and if they let me alone I would let her go. One instructor said really when are you going to let her off and then made some wise crack about training the humans. She is just like that but today I was not in the mood for wise cracks. When we walk her Molly is always on the lead it too busy to have her off.  We have an exam each month to promote them if they pass. Evently we may do some higher level of traiing with her but at the moment it is just to have her behave well and come when called.

it is like a big grass area with a large river/creek running down one side. Some dogs go into that but there could be anything in there. Also a mix of dogs.... most seem o.k. not too sure about some german shepards. It sort of takes the fun out of going if they are continually trying to get her off the lead. She is young and full of energy so I suppose that is one way of letting it off. Just gave her a flea bath and now she has let herself in the door that she can open. Running mad so best go and sort her hope it kills the fleas this time. I might do a flea bomb when we go away

and not fenced. Fair way from a very busy road but yet again I do worry
At 11:03pm on February 26, 2011, Eunice Marott said…
we went to the pet store and bought her a new soft toy. I let her choose from a barrel. She also went to the nursery with us... like it there. I am not sure about the other dogs there but if they start again next Sunday I will be saying more than I did today. Our Mollys would love one another and play like crazy. Molly is o.k. with other dogs always curious but the little ones can be a bit noisy and bite. I think what it is could be what nearly happened yesterday. Anyway all good now. Thanks wish we were not so far away also.
