Hi just canceled the last reply the clock is about 5 hours behind us so instead of being 09.30 is it will be in the middle of the night that it 'SEEMS' to be sent, but hey what the h**l it doesn't really matter, although it does make us look like a lot of sad things. Up all night on out computers, it is raining ''persistently'' hear at the moment, not nice, but we have had it rely good here for the past few days it has been so nice. all the best, hope puppies are all O.K. Hi Sandra, many congratulations on your great results!! That's excellent. Yes, the weather here wasn't great either yesterday - at least Busby got very clean in all that rain ;-) Whereabouts in Britain do you live?
Great to hear about the pups opening their eyes. Now exploring the surroundings will start! Love the new photographs.

I think that the picture of you was taken at the N.E.E.I.S.C. Show(?????) I think I recognise the door, how sad is that, I would imagine their claws are really long by now, they seem to grow so fast and then it starts to rip the bitches undercarriage, I am always scared of cutting them too short. They must be getting around quite a lot now??? Dee and the girls

I like your new picture and the new layout. Looks quite good! Stoke on Trent is quite nice as far as I remember. I visited only very quickly once quite a long time ago. We're up in Edinburgh at the moment and it's quite nice here too. Are the pups all doing well? Did they notice the claws being cut? They must still be quite soft at this stage I imagine :)

Hi Sandra
He is a fawn with black mask, only as he is now 7 he has a grey mask. He's a great big soppy lump in the house but doesn't get on with other dogs when we go out, which is a shame. I didn't get him until he was 18 months old so it was already a trait of his. He loves my Irish Setter, she sleeps on top of him..

I notice you have a litter of puppies, I've just bred my setter and have a litter too, they are 7 weeks old now. I'm keeping one to show, any tips on picking one out of all of them!!!

Best wishes, Deborah

it's wonderful how they let you do things to their pups. She must trust you not to hurt her babies and realise that you're helping her. How are your other dogs reacting to the pups? Have they been near them yet?

We live in Huddersfield. Thanks for the tips on the photos, we are keeping a bitch puppy as I don't think Oska the Great Dane would be too happy with another male. Its a shame as two of the boy puppies are absolutely lovely, both going to pet homes as well. All my pups have white on their chests too and they keep changing!! I have one pup with a misformed eye lid, it looks like its a large wart but the vet says it not, not harmful in any way but when people come to view the puppies they dismiss her straight away. The vet suggest having it operated on, what do you think?

I wish I had lots of enquiries to pass on!! I've still got four puppies to find homes for. If they all go and I get any more I will certainly pass them on. Three of my female puppies are very similar, I'm drawn to the one that is always first out box and has such a cheeky glint in her eye!! Don't suppose you've found a setter proof bin, my Barley can open them all including the one in the cupboard.

I am going to The Irish Setter Club Of Belfast on the Saturday and then to Border Union on the Sunday, got the ticket there last year!!! Do you get to the N.E.E.I.S.C show???I will definitely be going there, I have known Mary Tuite off and on for many years, (only to say good morning to though) I know that she likes Jas so you have to go to those judges eh.
Hope puppies and mum are all well Dee and the girls

Oh, he's such a lovely wee boy. You must be very happy to have them all. It's interesting to hear about all your dogs' different interactions with the puppies. Do you ever have problems with having males and females in the same house? I'm just wondering because I'm not yet sure as to whether to get another male or a female as second dog to my boy.

Hi Sandra,
Yes my puppies are all with their new owners now. I kept 2 girls and a boy.
Having a litter is a great time ,but hate having to part with them!!
Found wonderful homes for all, which make the parting easier. My baby girl "Kat" went Best Baby Gundog at a show here on Saturday.
Where in Oz is your son? It is a very BIG place.
How old are your pups??
Cheers Marie

It is so funny that you have a carrier in the window because that is exactly the same as me. Only my cats don't put the rubbish in the sink, my kids do!!!! They just seem to throw the rubbish in the general direction of the bag.
I'm trying with the photo's but they don't like standing on the table and keep leaning back.

Yes, it's pouring here too. Not very nice, I have to say, but I'm glad it's not too cold at the moment. It's great you've got someone to have a look at the puppies. Hope they'll all find a good place eventually. It'll be sad to let them go!

If you use a lamp, apparently it draws in the cold air and then heats it at about 2foot and then blows it back down, the best thing for puppies and the dam is a seat pad, so long as it is well covered the pupps can lye on it an the dam can stay away unlike the lamp, and it is dangerous, when I used to keep sheep I nearly set fire to the steading with a lamp the ewe kept knocking it off the chain and it fell amongst the fresh straw (new bedding for the new mum) and it caught fire, if the ewe hadn't have peed they would all have gone up in smoke!!! Dee and the girls, glad they are all doing well though

Managed to take some photos of the three I've to chose between, goodness that took some doing!! Bathed all the puppies today too, they certainly like to drag their ears through the food!!
