Myself and my husband jim bought our first Irish setter as a pet 32 years ago . Since then have owned a further 9 Irish setters, 2 of which we bred and we have owned two red and white setters. We started showing Irish in the 80s and our daughter Linzie is as much into the show scene as we are.
We currently have 5 Irish:
Logan - Cataluna Smart Alec at Montgreenan
Charley - Tatterslee Bon Affectueux Avec Montgreenan
Harry - Brabrook Flash Harry at Montgreenan
Herbie - Montgreenan Love Bug
Lizzie - Montgreenan Charley's Angel
Hi there Leigh
Nice to see you here, didn't get a chance to speak the other day, didn't seem to have a chance to do anything...Speak soon Dee and the gang
Hi there Leigh
Yes I went home empty handed too, three times, never happened before with the wee man. Ah well interesting judging...Yes am going on Thursday, but will be doing the usual mad dash during the night. Grandkids to look after on Wednesday...hopefully we will do better then, don't know what she will like, any ideas??? Catch up with you then...PS can't get to put a comment on your 'old mans' picture, but he looks lovely in that picture, just love the oldies...all the best See you on Thursday Dee and the gang
Hi Leigh, just looking through your photos, I see that Harry is a Brabrook...I too have a Brabrook. Bailey is 7 months old, his parents are SH CH Riverbrue Dionysus x Brabrook Baboushka, just wondering if Harry is Bailey's older brother as I know Bev and Tony had a litter from the same Dam and Sire about 2 years earlier. Harry is a handsome boy and looks very much like Bailey on his younger photos.
Hi Leigh, Thanks for adding me as a friend. We haven't really thought about showing. To be honest we wouldn't know where to start it all seems very complicated. I love to see all the photos on this site of everyone doing well in the show ring. We were told the other day by a lady who shows her dogs that we should consider it as she thought Bailey had very good structure. Perhaps we should look into it a bit more!!
