Has anyone been able to treat this successfully - no relapses?

I am sorry that I can reply to this but Joan and I have had lots of dogs and each one has had its own, usually different, health problems.I don't pretend to know a great deal but experience lets me answer this.

We had a female Irish setter who had a serious lick granuloma problem. It did not respond to any treatment and the dog was in danger of having an amputation, it had got that bad.The vet ,as  a last resort ,decided to inject steroids directly into the wound of Lizzie's granuloma. To everyone's amazement it worked. The granuloma healed leaving a misshapened joint.

This proceedure would not be recommended but it was done as a last desperate measure that worked.

I hope you find something that works for your dog.
