40 years
About Me:
Absolutely dedicated to the breed, along with English Setters.
Born in England, I moved to Australia as a child, and in my teens started importing Irish Setters from Wendover Kennels, and English Setters from Suntop Kennels. My latest Irish imports in 2004, 2009 and another in 2013 are all from the beautiful Copper's Kennel in Sweden.
I am a qualified Championship Judge for All Gundogs and the Non Sporting Group, and an Open Show Judge for all Toys, Terriers and Hounds.
My judging takes me all over the world, something I enjoy immensely.

hello Myra, just got back from some days' lazyness in the countryside, with lots of field and water training for the girls. they just love it!! will post photos in the evening when i manage to sort out the best ones.
in the dog newspaper, is it the one from the show in the eastern part of hungary where Danka was BOG? just wonder as she was also in another "our dog", featuring the champion of champions show last december. but maybe we have talked about that already? :-) i am getting old and forget things here and there...
you might have seen the gordon setter as well, he is an australian import from Lochtay. gonne write more soon, have to work now... let me know if you need a kennel maid (this is not a joke now but deadly serious!).
    miss you too,
laura with quail-killer danka and odin who thinks she has puppies (=two crazy girls)

    Hi Myra,
Myra when you´ll come to Norte of Portugal judged, I’ll go meet you.
In Portugal there are a few Irish setters and worst the others setters, I don’t understand way, but setters aren’t well known.
My father’s always hunted with Irish Setters.
He thinks that the Irish setter are more persistent and with more an active personality, but they learn quickly along more time them the others.
    Regards,
    Rui

Hallo Myra! Thank you for inviting me to be a "Setter-Friend" and for your nice comments to my photos. You also have very beautyful pictures from your Setters. Greetings from Austria to Australia!
  • ursula wilby

Myra, at the moment I am not realy in need of a giant hole in the ground, on the other hand you never know when you may need the services of an EFFFICIENT hole-digger. So can I come back to you on that one? :-)
  • Bryan Maynard

    Hellow Myra,
Many thanks for your kind wellcome, and unexpectedly so soon! Pleased you like Gentleman head.
"Wendover", truly beautiful! Very pleased to say my current boy Sean has a good percentage in his line. Hopefully more of him to follow.
    Meanwhile,
    Best wishes,
    Bryan.
  • ursula wilby

Thanks for the friend-invite, I thought we were friends already...:-)

Also I am now keeping a close watch on those blogs. So what did hubby say to the drawing? And yes, setters are good workers if ever you want a deep hole dug. But mine have stopped so I am delighted that you have a crowd of them available and ready to arrive at a moments notice! :-)
  • Laura Kolbach

hello Myra, think i sent you a private message some days ago, did you get that one?
  • Natalja-Dinniberg

We made trip on the ship on Nil from Luxor until Aswan and than on the bus to Abu Simbel and after had one week on the red see. It was amazing. Next time (I hope I will have it) I dream to go to Cairo and to see pyramids and Egypt’s museum, it would be great to learn more about hieroglyphics as well. We had for the Valley only couple hours but there would be possible to stay at least half of the day. In the early morning around 6 we have seen air ballons it was great to see from the ground, can image the feeling to be up there. I will be glad to send this photo to the e-mail that you can see the view on the ballons from the ground. And it is great to read that you made it well, it is in fact high. Only one with this trips that doggies has to stay at home and wait when mum is back. But I would love to go there back once again.
With love from very snowy Tallinn

    Natalja and doggies
  • Natalja-Dinniberg

Tallinn is really very nice city, on the page 3 of my photos here are also some views of Tallinn. For us summer is the best time to come, with other seasons never know (in fact with the summer the same) what kind of weather is waiting. But in summer is better chance. Since this Sunday we had snow storm until 44 cm snow in some places came in one, general level was 28 cm. And for the next weekend it will be all in water, so summer is better for visiting our country.
  • Laura Kolbach

    noooooooooooooooo! :-(((
  • Natalja-Dinniberg

From my point of view best time will be from May until August, it is never to know how hot or wet summer will be, in winter it could be very beautiful and snowy but sometimes and last years a lot it is only dark and wet.
On 23 June we have Midsummer fest and it is interesting, in every village will be fest.
Trip was good, have seen a lot, learned a lot, it is never enough time only one week on Nil was too short as always every holiday. We haven’t taken trip to Cairo it was offered in 1 or 2 days as for all that should be more time. I think it is in all South Countries like Egypt or Morocco or more in the direction to the South women should not be without the company of the man. Luxor was more or less safe but for us only on the big streets. Our guide advised us to walk in the city at least 4 or 5 persons and never women alone and not to go deeply in the streets.
  • Ewa

    Hallo Myra,
Thanks for your nice comments. I am very happy that I am between your friends. 22 setters – I think it is very difficult but also very interesting. I am dreaming about two boys.
