Hi I have just joined this site and saw you pictures, hope you don't mind me asking, but, what do you use on the coats to get that straight and free flowing look, we don't seem to be able to do that here. I hope that you don't mind me asking. I am no competition to you I live in Scotland

Hi there Gene. At the moment my girls are completely devoid of feathering so the whole thing is irrelevant, but I look at the American show dogs and they always look so 'well prepared' I show my two so am looking for tips all the time, but we don't have the facilities at the shows to blow dry their coats and if I blow dry them before I leave by the time I get to the show they are all fluffy and curly again, Oh well never mind, Your two look really happy kids, how old were they when you got them?? I have to say that it is nice to see someone else who has their dogs on the bed. They look so comfortable on the bed. I lost one of mine a couple of years ago and she used to insist on being IN the bed with her head on the pillow, unfortunately I didn't take a photo of her. All the best Dee and the girls

hello gene, im enjoying using the site but im experiancing problems getting to my page on the site. i hope you have looked at my video of a couple of mine playing.im trying to work my way though looking at everyone on the site and making new friends its hard to believe how many people are on here to make friends with., I hope you will be one of those. hello gene, thanks for the reply i still can only activate my page from email once out of the page i cant get back to mypage when i press the logo above and the videos still wont play once on the page and waiting ages on loading and its cuts of the network whilst waiting either for my page or the video.
This problem is now a week old.i thought it was my connection at first but my son said its not a problem from my end . its wont even connect if i use firefox
which ive used sometimes so im at a loss of why this happensl.congrats on your save our setters trip.

Gene, there appears to be an update problem when it comes to the forum discussions. The later replies dont register on the main-page. Also a similar thing seems to happen with some of the blog-posts. But in reverse.
For instance the Distaster-Trip to Scotland shows a huge number of comments (19 I think) but when you go in you (or at least I) can just find a few.

Many thanks for this site, and it must be pretty amazing to have started this and now see how active it is with new members constantly!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in following those steps as that is what I had been trying to do initially and it won't allow me to choose a different theme.

Also, when I clicked reply to your message it would not let me send a reply to your message, so I have accessed your page to do this.

It appears there are a couple of things not working quite right. Can you please assist.

Hello Gene, I have some problems too, with this chat function. When I´m logged out everything is all right, I can see this figure and a red point next the figure, than I´m logged in an the figure disapears.
Perhaps you can give me a tip what`s wrong there.

..no it doesn`t work, I have the same problem with firefox. I deleted the temporary internet files and nothing changed.. It´s always the same, I can see the figure iif I´m looked out. When I sign in, the figure disapeard.
But thank you for your advices, maby it`ll work sometimes.

Hi Gene, Just wanted to say what a wonderful group this is and how much I have enjoyed it here this past year. Thankyou for making it all possible. I love all the interaction with these lovely 'Setter people' and I have made lots of friends here. I particularly enjoy looking at all the amazing photo's.

Gene - If you'll have a look at the post I made on 2008 UK S&P Championshps, which I've now changed to "ILLEGAL", you'll see that the video that was such a hit has now been blocked to anyone not on the original Pointer forum on which it was posted.

They have, however, offered to let us download it and put it on this forum. It's 15 minutes of absolutely great insight into how things are done in the UK field and would be worthwhile, I think.

Can this be done? If so, I will contact the Pointer people and tell them that we can do it and they will send me something on how to save it. Then, of course, computer-challenged as I am, I may have to have some help from you to get it done!

I have received a comment from someone called JONA CASH via this site. But when I connect to my page there is no commnet there. Nor is there any evidence that Jona Cash is a member of ES! I see that several others have also received the same thing as have you. How is it possible for someone who is not a member to do this and more importantly are you able to block them?

I have been recieving comments from a Jona Cash but when i go on my page to have a look, there is no comment.
I clicked to try and view her profile but it said that this profile was not found so i am guessing there in no profile for a Jona Cash
I can see you are having the same problem and a few others are aswell

gene just a little curious a jane smith has just made a member although on her site it says everything is private.the other week there was a scam thing on about work on google .yesterday i had someone on with just a google website and how to earn money,i think you deleted this from your end.however the name jane smith rings a bell im sure its the same woman from other week

Hi Gene, I want to know if we can do some photographs on a christmas topic: it must include your dog/dogs and whatever to give it a christmas look. Perhaps one can use it for sms or e-mail for christmas wishes. The person with the most original picture, judged by either you or jarno or however you think, is then the christmas-wish-card-photographer of 2009! I did something like that with my christmas wishes in 2006 and all my friends loved the sms's. Sorry to bother you but I think we have again some strange new members on ES. They all have a similar build text with some links in it; writing stile is also quite similiar; some even claim to have a dog but I doubt that...
