Absolutely dedicated to the breed, along with English Setters.
Born in England, I moved to Australia as a child, and in my teens started importing Irish Setters from Wendover Kennels, and English Setters from Suntop Kennels. My latest Irish imports in 2004, 2009 and another in 2013 are all from the beautiful Copper's Kennel in Sweden.
I am a qualified Championship Judge for All Gundogs and the Non Sporting Group, and an Open Show Judge for all Toys, Terriers and Hounds.
My judging takes me all over the world, something I enjoy immensely.
Actually there were plenty of birds flying about, so you just had to wait for a short time. :-)
I suppose that was "no pets on the beach" does...loads of birds and pretty tame too!
I am not a great Christmas-fan at the best of times and with having been away for two weeks, the workload is just getting worse. And the darkness just makes me want to go to bed...instead of wanting to work.
Then there have been massive problems with Ivy (Alexandras horse - you know the big white mare) she got twisted intestines while I was in Florida and so ended up in emergency operation (took 6 hours and they had to remove 7 meters of intestines). The cost of this is beyond anything imaginable with dogs.
So far I am up to 127 000:- swedish crowns and its not quite over yet.
Only 20 000:- covered by the insurance as saving the foal was a massive cost as well. This coming weekend it will be Stockholm and selling + signing books.
So if I am not looking forward to Christmas as such, I am certainly looking forward to some time off!
Enjoy your garden!
It looks just wonderful!
Love
Ursula
Do you have any puppies at the moment. I lost my dog to gastric torsion a few months ago and am looking to get another dog to look at showing and obediance train.
Thank you for the comment on Ivy, I know that we love them all and they all leave a huge gap, but Ivy WAS very special to us...we are putting all our hopes on her foal...just back from Stockholm and worn out as always after one of those selling trips.
And it was cold too...so enjoy your weather Myra!
Thank's Myra for you comment of my photo. Our dogs have almost all the time funnydays :) But now we have so cold and everyone are inside. We have - 26 degrees. Dogs are freezing out there. Now they lie in sofa by the fireplace :)
Hi Myra,
They are lovely - we are having lots of hot weather in Sydney. Hope the fire situation in Perth is under control. Lots of pats for all your doggies. Love Lyn
Thanks Myra, it was a tough December but things are looking better now and Willow is improving daily. I can't believe that 4 sessions of hydrotherapy would improve her mobility so much and she is booked in for 12 sessions initially and then as much more as she needs to get her as sound as possible. She still finds it easier at the moment to pick the bad leg up and carry it when she goes faster than a walk but the physiotherapist says there is no reason she should not get back to normal. I'm being pessimistic at the moment so that I am not disappointed. The puppies are gorgeous, the best litter I have had, will try to take pictures this weekend as they are 6 weeks now.
Glad you like my boys Myra, wish more of the Vic judges had the same type in mind!! Lovely looking at your archive photos, will look out for margeret barnes at Crufts and let her know too.
Hi Myra, yes Lynne is still actively showing, she was at the show yesterday showing Danaway No Regrets. Hope you and all your doggies are well. Regards Linda x
Sorry Myra that you could not see how Lynne looks now, Barbara took the photo's, perhaps when I see her again, probably at Crufts I will tell her to join this site. Regards Linda x
Hi Myra!
Thank you for the comment on our side. We haven’t been online for a long time and we hope everything is all right with you and your dogs, especially Lupin and her little ones.
Best regards Pia and Benny
HI MYRA I have a show coming up that has WA judges Mr P Primrose and Mr.P Wilkes do you know them and are they worth putting Morgan in front of them , do they like irish setters or orange giraffes.
cheers Peter
Hello,
just finished cleaning my car and thought I would sit down for a few minutes and see what's happening. Put in all my entries for April. Taking Brodie to 3 shows.

Hi Myra - Thanks for your note. Glad that you are enjoying the site. Still amazes me how it has taken off and it is great to know there are people around the world that are as crazy about Irish Setters as me.
Myra. Lupin's pups are looking really good. You must be so proud. I can imagine they are a handful if Derry is anything to go by. Will Finoo beat him up - please?
And it was a nasty BIG one as welll...60! But it turned out to be a totally brilliant birthday with loads of friends and champagne and the house is overflowing with flowers...including bathroom...so YES, could not have been better!
thanks myra , we have family down under in victoria ,melbourne , brisbane ,and coolum been over 3 times in the last 5 years we love it and one of our highlights as a family was meeting the famous steve irwin at his fab zoo.where abouts are you regards graeme
I think we got off pretty lightly we were are, weather-wise! Lots of wind and rain, but no hail here (though my friends had their windows smashed out, and another was knocked out briefly by a hail stone!). A minor flood, and all the washing gone off the line lol... Oh well. I am SO glad to see the rain, I don't really mind the damage :)
Hi Myra, thanks. Yes, I saw the news this morning about your storm and was shocked. So much destruction in such a short time, must have been terrible for the ones caught out in it!
We had 180kms winds, so still very surprised that there has been so little damage to houses! Mainly trees dropping on powerlines and the odd home!!! Very lucky really.
Looking forward to hearing all the exciting news with Asqaya's litter. Must have finally hit the right recipe!!!
cheers
Thankyou for the Birthday Greetings Myra...had a rather soggy, wet day, unfortunately...!!! But typically the sun is shining this morning...!!! Do you think a place exists that has the perfect climate...I would really like to move there...!!!! Take Care....Sammi and girlies
Thank you Myra for birthday greetings, that was really nice day:-) I not always celebrate that day, but this year I did. It was very fine, lot of fun, and in fact I started already at midnight!
Easter´s here with its springtime joy and cheer! Cherish the beautiful Spring season with the brightest blossoms in your life and convey your feelings to loved ones with our bunch of Easter wishes.

Hi We hope to come out in 2012 if not before, If Gordon Brown and the rest of the dreadful Labour government win the election in May, we may come out for good!!!!!!!!
I think my son said that he booked Salem in with John but he didn't think that John knew who he was. They are bringing him end of June. Often think of that day when Lupin legged it. and what a lovely place you live in. When might you come to England?
