About Me:: WW'03 EUVW'08 Ch C.I.E. Berboss Instant Coffee (1996-2010) - for me just Odin - was my first setter, she left me 2nd January 2010 after 13 years of friendship. Odin was my all and everything, my best friend in good and bad times. She taught me so much about canine intelligence and behaviour, about love and loyalty. She was purchased for being a normal dog but very soon I got bitten by the show bug. She was a real show girl and compensated my faults in the show ring :) It was her soft character and look-at-me attitude that charmed all people meeting her, friends, strangers and even judges. Thank you Odin for sharing your life with me!

After much thinking I decided to get another girl and doing some research, I ended up in Sweden. This is how Danka - MultiCh C.I.E. C.I.B. Copper's Music 'N' Paws' - came to live with us in 2005. And yes, she taught me new things about canine behaviour :) Through her I was able to get to know the naughty and the run-run-run side of the Irish Setter. She is referred to as 'crazy Danka' by the setter club, hm, does it say it all? So different from Odin, but oh so lovable as well. A real clown, adoring kids, loving dog shows and having so much fun in the fields. Having 13 champion titles and being the first setter to qualify in the field on a Hungarian field trial and gaining CIB by this. Very intelligent, observant and empathetic. Thanks Danka for being with me, love you girl!

And then Neita - Full CH Copper's Wine 'N' Roses HJCH RJCH - arrived. Still cannot decide if she has more angel or devil inside her. She is the sweetest, wants to be close to you all the time, would love to crawl under your skin if that would be possible. Everyone is in love with her because of her beauty and character - bet if I would give her away, people would want to give her back the day after :) She is the destroyer in the house, eats sofas and doors but when she looks at you with those eyes, you just can't be angry on her (for a longer time that is...). She is a big actress as well, pretending to be a real blond - was hard to realize that actually she has brains and a lot! Unbeaten in baby-puppy-junior classes, we look forward to challenges in adult classes. Neita is a talent in the fields as well, already managed to get a CQN just one year old. She backs from the first second on and does not point but sets like a real setter :-)

Pawsword Northern Song, little Zilou - the one I know from the first second on, being Danka's daughter. The one that unites all the positive virtues of Irish Setters without having a bad detail. She has only been shown in baby and puppy class because of big sister Neita. Zilou is getting better with every day and seems to develop into a copy-paste of Danka. The best character ever, the best working abilities. The girl that makes me smile with every move she makes. Love you so much, little girl!

re Rubyn & Glen: Nein, mit 'the two of them' meinte ich Richerd und Rubyn. Mit Glen habe ich nicht teilgenommen, da wir kein vorheriges Training machen konnten. Maybe next year...???

Hi Laura

They have let her come home for the night, to see if I can get her to eat. hey thought she might show more interest if she was back home. She is drinking and no longer vomiting or has diareah but she very weak and needs to eat, but refusing at the moment I am shocked how much weight she has lost, not that she can afford to as she very slight anyway.

But it is good to have her home.

Ha bármikor kedved van egy kis kikapcsolódásra én nagyon szívesen látlak itt benneteket, akár hét közben is. Csak a munka miatt egyeztessünk. Választhatsz a pusztás-füves rét, az erdős,vagy a vizes-mocsaras között. Minden van. Attól függ mennyire akarsz malacot csinálni a vörös bundásból. Ezt azért írom, mert tudom,hogy a nehéz napokból csak ez tudja az embert előre lódítani. Tudom, hogy nem könnyű.
A hétvégén voltunk.Miskolcon, volt ám késeléses drámás cuccos a kiállításon ,de hírekkel ellentétben egy banális véletlen miatt folyt a vér,mi meg ott álltunk az eseményektől (nehéz fiúktól) 100 méterre. Sétáltunk a lányokkal a várárokban (az agár ott üldözi Mayát egy sprite-os üveggel),meg ott is ahol le vagytok fotózva. eszembe jutottál ám! Szóval meg vagytok hívva ide Várpalotára és kívánok neked nagyon szép tavaszi napokat,még ha ilyen nehéz emlékeket kell is cipelned :( mosolyogj és az élet is rád mosolyog :)

Hi Laura - Thanks for your note. I first heard about this a couple weeks ago when Gina stepped down as Ning CEO. I have looked at the pricing plans and I will probably just end up sponsoring the site myself. I think that is the simplest thing to do at this stage. It is my understanding that there are options in porting the site to other providers but we may end up in the same boat or a worse experience. Ning is obviously struggling with its ad only business model and it is transitioning to Freemium. No worries though. I won't let the site die as long as it is growing and people are enjoying/using it.

Hi Laura - That's a thought but it is really not a big deal. If Ning puts up a Donate button where you could pitch in a dollar (or euro) or two, that may be an option. I won't lose any sleep if I end up covering the whole thing though. Not that big of an issue.

Das hört sich gut an mit der Setterparty an der Donau :-)) Das mit der Badewanne würde bei uns nie klappen - Busby ist das letzte Mal die Wand raufgeklettert und seither muss ich ihn immer im Garten waschen :-))

I hope Martin had a nice time judging and it was lovely that you looked after him for the day and were able to find connections to talk about. I will no doubt be hearing from him about his trip. I keep in contact with Martin quite a lot and I picked the bitch he had from me and sent her over to Ireland at 12 weeks old. He unfortunately lost her far too young at 6 years old but she did produce him a lovely daughter who he has done well with. He is hoping to have a litter from her later in the year and I hope to go over to see the puppies.
My youngster WIllow has made a remarkable recovery from her accident. She had hydrotherapy which was physiotherapy in a spa bath, swimming and walking on an underwater treadmill. This all helped enormously to get her back walking on her leg and to build the muscles and she now runs at great speed with the adults and puppies. The puppies kept her occupied during the early days. They were born while she was away in the veterinary hospital and she was intrigued by them and spent hours just standing looking at them moving around in the whelping box which was so good for her as she would put the useless leg to the ground and weight bear on it just to keep her balance so it made her use it and they also kept her mind occupied rather than her spending all her time just sleeping on the couch. I cannot believe that she is now fully mobile again and able to do everything she did before. It hasn't altered her at all and she is still the happy confident dog that she was before the accident. I love her to bits.

Csoport eredmények már fenn vannak a MEOE honlapján, sokan és szépek voltak. Egyedül a német vizsla helyezésével nem értek egyet, őt úgy kihagytam volna a sorból, de ez van.
Nektek drukkolok! Próbálj nem képzelődni!! Csak türelem .... tudom, nehéz!

Very exciting. Has she got a name yet? Lynwood and Copper's mating, oh dear, that's what I did and my two had all the washing off the line tonight. They have only just gone to bed (1am in the morning) and will be up again in just a few hours.
Martin Falsey's bitch got her last green star in Ireland a couple of weeks ago and is now an Irish Show Champion.
