Sounds like you've been having a great time, hunting different birds in different parts of Europe - what could be better?

We've been having a good time down here in Australia on the quail, last year was a dry year, which means there is less cover and fewer birds, but we still managed around 600 finds. This year the summer rains have been much better and I'm expecting to have a much better season this year.

Do I recall from our chats on another site that you got or you saw a Kilsheelan pup from New Zealand? If so, what is the breeding of the pup/dog and what are you're thoughts as to it's perfromance?

Hi Christiane, yes I will be very interested, I don't know the owner personally but I was 'in' from the very beginning of this young mans life, had very many 'looks' as to which one should be sent to Germany it was such a good litter I actually had two others from this litter to stay and I campaigned them for the first couple of months so I feel like a ''grandma'' to them all, thank you for letting me know, I actually thought that he had done his first test, that is what you get when you get everything second or third hand, thank you again Dee and the girls

Wow, congratulations! You alone on a hochsitz in the woods at night???? You are so courageous!!!! Was it a male or female? How many kgs or cms waffenla:ge (if male)? Did it go so far with the wound? Did you sometimes use setters for track or only dachshund?
When will Andreas and Momo travel to Poland, how many days they are planning to stay? Did you make laboratory exams to know which is Momo's best day or just trust in nature?

61 kgs are fast enough for a big family event dinner and the meat is still tender and soft :-)!
And yes, a track expert dachshund is the best solution for searching for wounded wildboar. They are small and fast and intelligent, know the safe distance between wounded animal and them, don't risk their life needlessly (not as most terriers!)
Did you make lab. exams for Momo last year, too, that you are afraid of unsuccess? Is she a difficult girl?

I noticed that you had left a comment on Terry O'Learys page about D. Goshawk and that he got a A-hip. The reason that I am commenting this is because our dog is Goshawks daughter and she also have a A-hip :)
Is there a specific reason that you commented on this, is there alot of problems with HD in the IRWS breed?

I will, and she asked me to send you her regards too :) I talked with her one week ago at Elin Wittusens house (Kennel uS). She always have some good stories to tell when we are there :) And unlike you, we did actually have a close encounter with the big Moskus ox when we were there :) a scary but impressive sight, standing 150 meters away from 7 big hairy animals! It was one of the "uS" dogs that reported to us, and we thought it was grouse she had found but when we came over a small hill the dog just laid down flat (like a lion) and we looked straight at the herd. Never experienced anything like that before!

Oh no! No sending back. Fokka must work off here the gingerbread setter and some more crimes. I don't know if she is flying but surely he could be a chief of thief's gang. Always no noise, no evidence. If there is many things to eat, she doesn't eat all of them. But once she couldn't resist the temptation. wir haben im letzten Jahr eine Setter Hündin vom Irish-Setter-Zwinger "Diana's Red" (Verein der Setterfreunde VDS e.V.); Mutter: Lohmann's Jalta (DPSZ 105/04), Vater: Hillsborough Celtic (LOSH 0926034) ==> Diana's Red Anne (unsere Hündin) gekauft, die wir eigentlich nicht jagdlich führen wollten. Jetzt ist mein Mann Jäger und er möchte unsere Hündin gern ausbilden, um sie jaglich führen zu können. Sie hat hervorragende jagdliche Instinkte, die wir unbedingt fördern wollen. Groß war die Enttäuschung, als mein Mann erfuhr, dass der VDS e.V. nicht Mitglied des VDH ist und in Konsequenz des gerade novellierten Landesjagdrechtes Sachsen-Anhalt (03'09) eigentlich nicht zur Brauchbarkeitsprüfung zugelassen wäre. Obwohl dort steht: Zitat: "Die neue Brauchbarkeitsprüfungsordnung soll mit dazu beitragen, dass unabhängig, zusätzlich oder ergänzend zu den Prüfungsangeboten in den Jagdhunde-Rassevereinen möglichst jeder von den Jägern angeschaffte Jagdhund zu einem Brauchbarkeitsnachweis geführt wird. Mit der nachgewiesenen Brauchbarkeit erfüllt ein Jagdhund die Mindestanforderungen, die für den Einsatz in der täglichen jagdlichen Praxis erfüllt sein müssen." Mein Mann stellte daraufhin einen Antrag auf Ausnahmeregelung (Zulassung zur Brauchbarkeitsprüfung), der für Sachsen-Anhalt abgelehnt wurde. Gibt es andere Möglichkeiten, der Hündin zu ihrem Job zu verhelfen? Würden uns über einen Gedankenaustausch freuen. Lg Kerstin

Wir haben uns inzwischen mit der traurigen Tatsache abgefunden, dass Setter ohne passende Papiere keine guten/geprüften Jäger sein dürfen, wenngleich das eine mit dem anderen nichts zu tun hat:-((( Die Passion kann man der Hündin aber leider nicht verbieten. Kennt ihr keine Ausnahmeregelungen z.Bsp. Prüfung in einem anderen Bundesland? Was ist los mit deinem Rechner? Lg
