My father bred collies when I was younger and through my adult life have had a few dogs, usually adoption etc. We decided we wanted a dog and I have always loved setters so we got Ollie who is now 18mths old, then came Jasper who is 9mths old and then came Aoife who is 11wks old......watch this space! We moved to the Orkneys in June and the dogs love thier new found freedom in the land that we have but adore going for a good strech on the beaches.
Hi there Sally
Well I do know a few people but unfortunately we all have our own boys, but will keep it in mind, and you are very welcome to call in. Take a look at some of my pictures, there are a few of my poor wee Saffy just before she had them all. And some of the 'mob' shame I can't repeat the mating, they made a wonderful mix, as mum and dad, Saffy and Mr Jingles, but the kids have grown up really well.
All the best Dee and the gang
Hi Sally, have you fenced your vast ground? It is surely a paradise for setters to rush freely over the lowlands. Great that you have also got horses. Do the dogs join you when riding on horseback? I have never managed to train them to stay by my side when I am on "top" (?) of the horse. So my husband and the whole dog-gang sometimes jogs together with us. That is no problem for my old (20 y.) Fjord-pony mix but for the young warmblood (4 y.) it is something to get accustomed to. Best wishes Kerstin
