    Hi Jane I see you live near the sea, does your Rufus swim in the sea? Bracken is nearly 8 years and does not yet know he could swim although his favourite place is on the beach in Cornwall.

    No, he doesn't. He likes paddling and getting wet in the sea but never ventures too deep. He's been in a deepish pool of seawater on the beach but didn't look as if he was enjoying it much. He's ball went in there but we had to fish it out! Suppose getting a ball out of water must be a bit like apple bobbing ...?
