    hello brian,my husband is also brian mccarthy,his family originated from cork?could be related!am sure you will have years of joy &fun from your setter.we have had setters for 31 years,usually 2 together,our old fella  oscar passed away last week&although we have flynn who will be 2 in november the home is quite,flynn has the odd moment of looking for things that don"t belong to him,but mostly he is on 1 of the beds away from us,we will have to get him a companion soon!

    hello brian thanx for your comments,brian did do some research into his family,but found it confusing at times,so has given it a rest for now,but did know his immediate family came over here & were in the chiswick area."the or wot" is very appropriate for setter owners,how are your two getting on?flynn has just had a nice play with a 4 month old cocker spaniel,bye for now
