I am a mum of 4 and have Darcey (Kirwilldale Nivelli), my IS, Poppy (Caispern Minihoma) my IRWS, Ollie, my springer and Hattie (Gunnerdale Abbie), my GR.
As the breeder of your bitch i am most disappointed that you have chosen to come on here and contact and discuss things with everyone bar me !!!! Also your remarks re my bitches hip score which is rather high but for which there is avalid reason and which i discussed at length with my vet before breeding for her rather upsetting , Gemma hasd had 4 litters now and all but one that have been scored have come back with alow score , I have just had Kirwilldale chaska done who is your pups litter brother and he has come back a 4:5 total 9 so your comments about being worried about the dams score are rather unfounded, there are other factors that go towards whether the dog has agood hip score or not mainly diet, exercise and environment and these all need to be taken into consideration instead of condemning the dam ..
Hi Emma, I sent you a friend's request as I thought you may want to know some of the info I have about hip dysphasia and hip replacement. Regards, Catherine
I´ve just read your blog about your pup and dysplasia.
My dog had almost the same problems. I tried to go for short walks with him, during the smummer he was swimming a lot and I was very careful with his diet. I can understand your feelings and worries. We spent 8 years together with my Gordon /GS/ and despite all troubles and pain I learnt a lot for my life and I am very greatful for time we spent together. All the best for your pup and all your family.
