Great scenes in the Field Trial Hall of Fame! Good memories of your horseback trials as well. Start telling on Hall of Famers Askews Carolina Lady, Clancy O'Ryan etc. would appreciate that. Called my American bitch Clancy after him. And last but not least Smada's Byrd. Adventurebooks!
Hi Bob - Good to hear from you! Yes, I'm still active in the ISCA. Way back when you were coming to our trials, our local club sposored a "precursor" to a National Field Field, called a "Classic", in 1977 right on those grounds where you used to stay while you were here. It was a couple years later that it was granted Championship status by the AKC.
1977 was the year I met Ken and Linda Ruff, it was their first national field trial. We are still friends and in frequent contact.
And I'm the major paper-pusher for the Futurity and try to keep everything on theFuturity up-to-date on my website, plus have something in the "ISCA Memo to Members" most months (it comes out 6 times a year, I have usually something in there for four issue).
You may recall that I'm a little on the gregarious side, so it's talking with the breeders and their new owners that I get a kick ou of!
Am in California at the moment, visiting my youngest son, Wade, and his family - wife and three daughters! Yes, he was the little 3 or 4 year old, very-blonde kid who was absorbed in playing "cars" in the mud around the windmill on the training grounds! His brother, Lance, is just a year older, the dark-headed one!, and he lives in Washington state.
Perhaps our paths will cross once again. Until then I'll tell Delmar that you're still "alive and kickin"!!!!!
