I just wondered what type of collar you all use for on leash training for your Irish Setter?
Welcome to the ES site Sherry!!!
I love the story of Molly, and you made me think twice about always having a pup!!!
Waiting to see pictures of all your dogs... if possible???
Cuddles to Miss Molly
sorry Sherry.
We do not show Molly. Years ago I used to show but not now... happy just having Molly. Your Molly weighs more than ours. Thedog training do not recommend choker collars. Molly goes back to training this Sunday.. they close over the hot months but is still hot. We live in Sydney not near the floods. I felt so sorry for the people of QLD we live in NSW it is the worst thing that has happened in Australia from my memory. We have had the bush fires which are really bad but this was awful. A friend of mine takes her dog to a dog park she has a boxer but I don't wish to take Molly to one. Would be real fun to have both Mollys play together... bit far to travel for that. Our Molly could put on some weight but she has come a litter of 15 and I think she is quite small for an IS. We love her heaps she is my companion during the day. Still can't imagine the setters in the snow. Most likely because we do not have snow in Sydney only down the snowy mountains in southern NSW. take care talk soon
thanks. The kennels have playtime but not for long during the day. Our previous setter went there also and they loved her so much and this has been passed on to Molly who is special. They pickup her up from the vets which is local to us and she is transported to the kennels which takes about two hours with other dogs and cats. They are a big concern in Sydney and train dogs for customs. beagles mainly.
Your Miss Molly sits on the lounge the same way as ours. I suppose they all do much the same things.
Hi Sherry,
a late welcome to the site from a French Setter owner in the UK!

Hello All,
This last year has been a roller coaster for so many of us. Early April, 2020 we suddenly lost our beautiful Miss Molly to an inoperable cancer of the spleen when she was almost 12. Miss Molly truly rescued us all those years ago and filled each day with love and laughter. We miss her so much but treasure all the love and memories we carry in our hearts....she made sure we had an overflowing heart full of her love.
Three weeks later the lady who never checks her…
