Our Caleigh is gone.
Ken didn’t want a puppy at the time, but me being my headstrong self, I brought
Caleigh home one September evening. She and Ken had a thirteen year love affair.
She would wait by the window for him to come home, and nibble at his hands in
greeting. Caleigh had her own agenda. She was the only one of our girls who
truly bonded with my husband, Ken. She always watched at the window for him to
come home, and nibbled his fingers as he came through the door. They had a
special bond.
Caleigh did very well for me in the obedience ring. She was an honest working
dog, often getting perfect heeling scores on the utility signal exercise. Due to
my long recovery from surgery, and then her problems jumping, we never were able
to compete for her OTCH. Ken, Rosie and I will miss her terribly.
