Liberty (rotty) is such a friendly dog, she had been quite lonely prior to getting Spirit as she had never been an only dog and had had a few months of it which at her age probably is a shock.  When we got our Doberman Liberty produced milk and fed her for a few months (with no need our dobey was a wellweaned 9 week old !!) it took a lot of discouraging and then treatment to stop her lactating, our vet said that it was suprising she was so like this as she has never had pups herself.  She was ecstatic when Spirit joined us, Libby is now unwell but I am pleased that Spirit has brought such happiness into the last few months of her life. Libby will be 13 next month if she makes it, none of my other dogs would have accepted a puppy so well at her age, infact i wouldnt have put in on any of the others but i knew Libby would not only cope with it, but would love it.

What a beautiful story about Liberty, what a great dog she is!!!  You are very right, two dogs are bringing so much to each other, it has to be done to be aware of it. Hope your wonderful Liberty will get well soon, ok not a young chick but still some good time ahead. Cuddles from me to your amazing pair  :-)
