Hi Sharyn, Thanks for your comments but I fear we have another Kerry living with us. Life is to say the least crazy. We had a Finn and we totally adored him - we still miss him terribly. He died in October at only 8 from pneumonia following surgery for a paralysed larynx. I hope your Finn brings you as much love as our Finn did for us. We also hope Derry behaves himself as he starts puppy training on Sunday and I fear we'll be thrown out of the class - this has happened to me with an Irish I had years ago.
Derry will be top of the class.....well if not top...the most beautiful.....LOL....enquire about Rally O.....I am sure you and Derry would love this...not quite as strict as obedience and fun for you both.....let me know how you get on..:-))
What's Rally O? although we do need to do obedience training initially because I want Derry to enjoy life off the lead without the fear of him running off. At the moment when I tell him no his immediate reaction is to bite me, trying to let me know he is boss. He has a strong personality!!!!! so I need to get the upper hand.
Derry sounds a hard case......;-))))..Rally O is sort of like Obedience but not as strict....you have a course set out...about 12 to 20 stations with a sign on each , telling you to sit your dog, stand your dog, down and other commands....you just read the sign and do it.- I forget our many different signs there are, but the course can change each week, and you learn what the signs are and how to do them....it doesn't sound much fun, but it is......a lot of people over this way have started it and are really enjoying and having fun with it....
Thanks Sharyn I will make some enquiries about Rally O and Derry will probably enjoy it if it is more fun. After all Irish love to have fun and so do we.
