Oh, how I wish to be there with you!! Nearly no pheasants left where I come from :-(( - I heard one this spring after more than 20 years... the estimate is 100-500 pairs in all the country and the species is classified as 'highly endangered' here...

Cornelia, with us is a lot of pheasants. To the home-gardens next to the time they arrive.

I know and I think it's beautiful! We don't have enough open space like you have - all cultivated land and a very small country - but I have the sound of a pheasant on my computer and Joy does come an listen :-)).
