Rosie learned to sail on a 38' Catalina Tall Rig when she was about 6 years old (2003) motivated by special "on vacation boat food."  She did very well until she hit 10 years old when spinal stenosis and arthritis kicked in.  That said, she didn't like being in water deeper than 1 foot so only jumped off that one time.
