- Hello, I am seriously considering getting a dog in about a years time and am taking the time to research. We have decided on an Irish Setter. having spoken to a few owners we are now finding out more, looking into health and breeders, until we are ready to find our new dog. My husband has had a dog before I new him, but not an Irish Setter.
