Crazy in love with big red dogs since I was 8 yrs old. Back then I would cut pictures of Irish out of magazines etc and use as pets for my dolls. Have owned Irish setters since 1969: now at the Rainbow Bridge: Scarlet; Tracy; Jill; Tory & Devin Shane & Faith. I am currently owned by 4 wonderful Irish that I adopted through Irish Setter Rescue in NJ - they are Kylie (adopted May 2003 through Irish Setter Rescue NJ) 12 yrs old on 7/9/14, Cassidy Faith 4 yrs. old on 7/3/14, Delaney almost 1 yr old on 7/11/14 and Kelin 1 yr on 8/8/14 Kylie & Kelin are Irish "Red" setters, Cassie & Delaney are Irish Red & White setters. Both my Shane and Faith crossed the Bridge March 2010 -Shane on 3/2/10 and Faith 3/3/10. Mick approx. 9 yrs old & adopted March 16th 2010 crossed the Bridge on April 6, 2014 very suddenly.

Welcome to the site, Carol. You sound a very good person in the Irish Setter world, and your dogs look lovely in your photo.
Cheers, from Down Under!
Myra.
Thanks Carol,
Pleased to hear that you liked it. it has been many years of hard work before I launched it last year and it is still expanding. I try to add something new each day. I would be more than happy to add your lovely dogs as well. I am trying to create an complete online record of as many Irish as possible, pets, rescue and show setters.

Hello Carol,
I apologize for huge delay in answering.
Thanks you would like to share with me your dog's story.
Thanks they are people like you who take care abandoned or lost dogs.
We have in Poland setter adoption as well. There is a lot of setters who needs new homes all the time. Sometimes it's an accident but unfortunately only sometimes.
Could you imagine information "aggressive setter in shelter".
Word "aggressive" was not accepted. Some fellow started to visit this dog who was barking in his box when others dogs bark to. After a month and few days this dog had new home:))))
I love very much setters with white spots, father of my puppies has small dot on a chest and few puppies also have it. White was better visible when they were small and have short hair, now it is only a lock of hair. Pity!
Love your photos and stories presented on them.
I tried to refrain from buying setter figures, cards and so on, but gave up.
So my collection exsists (much more smaller than yours)
Greetings from Poland

I don't get time to come here often, either. Lots of dogs, lots of medical issues, lots of adoptions, lots of success stories! I've got to call Denise and see what the vet said about SCARLETT. Denise told me she looks pretty rough.
Hi, Carol,
thanks for a message. Here is everything OK. Last week we had a guest because my friend left for holiday and I took care about her airedale. Kika is the best friend of my girls so we have a lot of nice play.
Greetings for you and hugs for your white heads and the third red as well;))))
