Hi Everyone,
This is the first time I have joined anything online so I am still finding my way around. Thanks to those who have welcomed me. My first dog was an Irish called Gemma then I got Jodie. I fell in love with the English Setter and they have been my love for the next thirty years. I currently share my home with my last ES Bailey, an ex race greyhound Bella and I am showing a young Saluki Harry. I am finding I am not fit enough these days to show a Setter. I still love…

Hi Gayle. Have just seen that you are new here & wanted to say 'Welcome'. I'm also from Melbourne & have an Irish & an English Setter. My beautiful Irish girl is now 11 years, & my English girl is just one year. We lost our first English Setter just on two years ago now. She was the reason I love the English breed so much. I have always been torn though & could never decide which breed I wanted most, so had to have both.
My first English girl was a Landmark dog. I am not sure but am thinking that perhaps you might have had my Megg's litter sister, Ch. Landmark Louisianna.(sp).. If so, what a small world.
Welcome to Exclusively Setters. This is a fun group with lots of wonderful photo's & great people. Hope you enjoy it here.

Hi Gayle,
Yes, I think we did meet at Mornington. Those were fun days. We didn't show Megg but she did do obedience & was very good at it, until one day she decided that it wasn't for her anymore (lol). I am a devil for punishment though & after having Tess for a year & a half on her own, we decided to get another English girl. Tess & Megg were baby puppies together & I was sure Tess would love another pup but I couldn't have been more wrong. She didn't like or want her new sister. Luckily, after a couple of months, it all worked out & now they are great friends. Not like with Megg, but still friends, so I am happy with that. Grace is a real sweetheart & loves Tess to bits. Must admit though, that having a new pup after 10 years is a bit of a shock to the system (lol).
Will look forward to seeing some pics. of your lovely family.
Lynn, Tess & Grace.
