- I am new to this type of dog/ I aquired her due to the fact that the owners were going to put her down because of move south.....I am having discipline problems with her she is 6 years old and has had 1 litter of pups. The odd thing is that the neighbor of dog said she wa snot very smart. She is currently trying to mount me all the time after I get home from work and I can not seem to get her to stop! I love her with all my heart and want this to work!

Welcome to ES Leslie!!! waiting to see pictures of your very special girl .... and I am sure you will find plenty of ES members to give you tons of advices on the matter. I really like your attitude, and no doubt you will have this to work!!!
A neighbour is thinking that she is "not a very smart" dog .... I would not say that from any setters, so I am sure that you will soon find out that she is indeed very clever but definitively need a bit of discipline added to tons of love and patience :-)
