- Widowed with 4 children and after my husband died I decided to get a setter, I've loved them since being a child beautiful and elegant I'd always wanted a dog and it was the right time. We bought Riley in January 2009 and although he has been a handful with his boundless energy, it is a constant learning curve and the fact that he has grown pretty big for a setter 37kilos has been a shock..
Friends in the dog world thought I was mad to get a Red Setter but he's been our life saver and gives so much we forgive him for the odd scratch on the floor and chewed shoe...
