How many Irish Setters do you have?
3 Our sweetest Dutch en German champion Lancelot van de Grasbroekerhof "Darcy" (27 march 2008 from Enjoy and Fairy-Tale vd Grasbroekerhof) and Marvellous Red van de Grasbroekerhof "Bingley" (10 februari 2009 Enjoy vd Grasbroekerhof and Fairhaven Engla) and our little lady German youth champion Passion van de Grasbroekerhof "Jane" (20 april 2010 Dubliner Tiger Woods & Glamour Girl van de Grasbroekerhof)......and lastbut not least our Black and Tan teckel "Dashwood" Rascal's Home Go Hear-Hear (2 maart 2010)
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
25 years, since 1984. it started with my parents. They become a irish setter without pedigree. He was only 3,5 years when he died of a bad heartcondition. We then thought we should go to a breeder with healthy dogs....and we got Nagy Nemes of the Hunters Home from Piet and Marga Roks and then it all started....

Lancelot van de Grasbroekerhof 'Darcy' Best Irish Setter of the Year in Holland

This year became Darcy, after becoming VDH Champion last year, Dutch Champion! Winning 6 CAC's and 1 reserve CAC Darcy became also Best Irish Setter of the year.

Grasbroekerhof did well in Rotterdam CAC/CACIB

With our four setters we went to Rotterdam and all four were placed 1!!

Darcy (Lancelot van de Grasbroekerhof) again BOB in Echt and 3th BOG

Darcy became for the fourth time this year BOB in a CAC show. This time in Echt under judge J. Schepers.

Unfortunatly I couldn't come to show my Darcy.  Because of a flu, I had to lay in bed all weekend. Lucky for me that Bertina was so kind to show him and she did great! Darcy became BOB and 3th BOG.




Our Jane got her hipscore; A!!!

Yes, when you look back to even the 60's & 70's there are huge differences and sometimes they don't even look like the same breed.
