I am so pleased for you and Mitch that his biopsy results were clear. It is wonderful you have both come through this terrible ordeal with such a positive outcome.
Mitch looks so cute playing with his toy. English Setters never seem to tire of playing with their toys.
I had a look at Mitch's pedigree. All my English Setter boys have Engsett in their lines, Engsett Empery and Engsett Par Enterprise and with Bandit, also Engsett Extra Promise. Bandit was and Hobson is strong-boned with a strong masculine head, very much along the English lines. Hammer and Beau are finer in appearance.
Thank you very much for your kind words about Beau. Despite the odds, I still cling onto hope that I will find him one day.
Best of wishes to you and Mitch
Hi Tony ! many thanks for your well wishes for Legolas, I'm hoping it'll be the last time he has to go under & that the results will be good. Limpimng all the time can't be fun.
It's great to read that your own lovlely Mitch has pulled through his own op none the worse for wear...a little lighter perhaps but doing well :) His colouring reminds me so much of Theoden's, but he's from a working strain though, so would be smaller in size...still they're a little alike :)
~Thanks again ...Michelle & the lads.
Hi Tony !
Yep their colouring AND mud...not a good combination. He loves getting dirty ! Just as well he likes getting washed & blow-dried too :). Tell me, does Mitch also have that annoying gun-dog habit of rolling in the stinkiest, most rotten of things lying on the forest floor, generally the deader the better ? Lego does it some times but Theoden...good Lord I don't know where he finds the stuff ! He also has much stronger hunting instincts than Lego & is onl happy when he's on the trail of something. Does Mitch like to hunt or flush birds ?

Hi Tony !
Ugh ! my sympathies on the hedgehog story...sounds nasty, I can only imagine the smell !
Seems as though Mitch had quite the nose ! My lads are big into hunting, especially Theoden, he's from very strong working lines. He'll go after anything, Lego tends to favour rabbits. They've caught some between them...they work as a team...bit like lions :) Much to my dismay they've even caught rats. But Theoden's fav are birds. Snipe, pheasant, pidgeon, wag-tails...most are usually too fast for him but if not he will literally jump up and pluck them from the sky...especially portly pidgeons. when in side he practices on spiders & flies :)
Hopefully you & Mitch will have many more years filled with nice walks together & maybe even the occassional hare :)
Hi Tony
Am having a few problems at home so have not had time to respond to your comment. I visited South Wales many years ago and I loved the country. Your photos show a beautiful scene. I know my English Setter boys would delight in rolling in your Welsh mud. My English Setter girls have always been more refined. I hope Mitch is continuing to recover well from his surgery.
Best wishes from Susan and her English Setter kids
