- About Me:
- I am president of the Irish Setter Club of MIlwaukee and a member of the Irish Setter Club of America. I am interested in conformation, rally, and will be returning to obedience classes this fall. I love the breed and will always have one beside me. My first Irish was a field setter named Joseph who was the most loving, gentle boy I have ever known. Sadly, he was afflicted with epilepsy and endured many serious other medical conditions. I think his frequent hospitalizations and seizure clusters brought us so close. I lost him just before his seventh birthday to internal bleeding.

ISCM 4TH ANNUAL FUN DAY

This past Sunday, August 5, 2007, the Irish Setter Club of
Milwaukee held its 4th annual Fun Day in our back yard. My
husband Joe and I welcomed a bevy of Irish setters, two Gordons, and a
13 inch beagle to our home. We have a fenced 1/2 acre yard in the
suburbs. As the day was quite warm and sunny we had 3 doggie
pools out for the furkids which proved quite popular. A basket of
balls and frisbees helped to amuse our setter friends.

Nice to hear from you. I know many people who are surprised to find out that Alaska has these gorgeous summers with 75 - 80 temps!!! Don't let the flowers fool you, though. They were provided by the photographer, not naturally growing :) :)

I belong to the ISCM, but only as a supportive member as I live in Wausau. I remember Joseph from his picture in the newsletter and your articles. He was beautiful and so loved.
I have two setters...one bred by Joanne Schick..Calmarra line..age six..bottle fed and still nurses on blankets, and Anamacarra Sealed With A Kiss...bred by ISCM's Gail, Tami and John Jackson.
