Today Bella celebrated her 3rd birthday, the cake was a bit of a rushed affair this year and was somewhat limited by the cooking capabilities of our current living arrangements in a static caravan. Bella will be getting a massive fat new bed when we move back into our house next month (if the builders ever finish).

Imagine my surprise when going through our post yesterday and I spotted that one envelope had been paid for with 4 x 13p postage stamps with Irish Setters on them. According to my google-ing they were issued in 1979 as part of a British Dog series.
If anyone would like them for their memorabilia collections then I am more than happy to post them on as we already have them as First Day…

I cannot compete with Raff's spectacular carrot cake in looks, Debbie your cake is amazing again. I bet mine smells worse though..... Liver cake, cream cheese, fish treats and ham. It's at times like these you realise how much you love your dog.

Today is Bella's first birthday so in honour a Liver Cake was made, frosted with cream cheese, piped with salmon pate (bit of a mistake - lumps of salmon kept getting stuck in the nozzle) and lettered with finely sliced carrot. Whilst this was not up to the beauty that was Rafferty's cake (much kudos to Deb for an outstanding effort) it seemed to hit the spot for Bella and her best mate Rex who was invited round for lunch.
