Did they enjoy the swim? Sea, river, lake? Doesn't time fly when you're having fun?! :)
Jeep full of fun......now problem will be they all want to go everywhere with you.
Actually, it was a first initiation swim at our local dog pool with Mum! So only a short drive for a start! :-)
Hey, great shot Catherine. Great looking crew. How did they smell after all that. Here's a question for anybody, I was sorta curious. For folks who are fortunate enough to be able to take their dogs to the sea or ocean, do they ever try to drink the water. I know that might be a 'doh' question but I guess I don't know.... maybe some day. There are some beautiful photos here of people who can do that. Thanks, best to all
Rob
That's not such a bad question, Rob! I discussed it once with a vet - or the vet with me, when we went on our first trip: Some dogs do drink water and it can upset their tummy quite a bit. But it depends of the amount of salt that is in the ocean - the Baltic Sea for instance is very low in salt and so it is no problem but the Atlantic has a higher concentration. Our Joy does only take a few sips in the Atlantic (and you should see that face, when she picks up sea weeds!) but quench her thirst in the Baltic Sea after a long, hot walk. We never had any problems.
Hi Rob, my three went for a swim at our local dog pool. I have posted a photo in my photos of Baby Justine learning to swim with her Mum. So no smell as they get a shower after their swim. I don't think they drank too much, they were too busy splashing around ! :-)
Rob, this is hydrotherapy pool for dogs but as I know the owner very well we can also use it for initiation for swim for young pups ! This one is in my village about 2 miles drive so very easy to get to! If you look through my photos you will see several of my dogs have been there. :-)
Blimey - they look like they've been working on the chain gang. ;) We've just returned from Cornwall. Endless hours walking lonely beaches and swimming in the sea. Heavenly. Errol is wise enough not to drink the salty Atlantic waters. Byron is less clever and as a result gets the runs immediately. Both will drink from the foulest puddles of course.
You little ones are having a wonderful life.
