Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
What can I say about our beautiful, funny, loving, sweet girl? She loved people and bossed the boys (K9) around if she needed to. She played all her life, even when the going got tough for her, which it did in the last couple of years. She never gave up trying to please, although it really wasn't necessary because having her in our lives was a pleasure, even when she got us up at 3.30 am., in the motorhome, to go for a call of nature! A common occurrence!
While she was here, her grandmother, Amber and auntie Damson were here too. They were like peas in a pod.
I called her 'Bridie Bridie' all the time, because I couldn't get enough of her.
Yesterday we gave her a final kiss and let her go peacefully. She was calm and serene...
I bet she's kicking up her heels at Rainbow Bridge...
Night night, sleep tight my darling girl.
My sincerest condolences for the loss of your Bridie, Sue. She was a lovely girl.
So sad. she may be out of your sight but will always in your heart. xxx
Dear Sue, I cried when I read your tribute to Bridie. What a beautiful girl she was and what a truly heart-breaking time for you all. I think of Bridie often, and your Finn, and I feel so sad, and the tears keep flowing. Bridie was a truly courageous lady who loved you with all her heart and soul. Sending you all Lots of Love from Susan and her family xxxxxx
I am sorry Sue.. she will leave with you forever....
I am so sorry Sue ...
Thank you all for your thoughts, and love to all your beautiful boys and girls.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Sue - she looks really sweet in that second photo. I'm sure, she had a wonderful life with you and that you have fond memories also with all your travels in the motorhome. I know the call of nature at 3.30 am. on a campground - however with a still young girl like our Joy this call is mostly just an excuse to go and look for rabbits, which are on the grounds at night and underneath the motorhomes in northern countries. Still, you never know and so we get up anyway and care for our red-haired friends and cherish all the joyful moments, they bring and brought into our lives and fill a book of memories… Thinking of you - lots of love and kisses from Joy xxx
So sorry to hear about Bridie, she had a lovely gentle face. may the shamrocks fall softly.xxxx
What a beautiful tribute Sue, so very sorry for your loss and what a nice way to say goodbye, love your final sentence "Night night, sleep tight my darling girl."
