Hi Silvia
I am pleased I checked ES again today. Thank you for letting me know about Obi. I am very pleased to read that your vet did not rush into surgery. I am certain Obi will not have any more problems now. Hallmark developed a little lump in his chest and I am certain this is because of a fragment of a paralysis tick. He had rubbed this area before I found the tick and somehow I think a fragment penetrated inside. The body naturally defends itself by isolating the tick in a lump. This happened many years ago and Hallmark has been fine except he still has this little lump. No matter how hard we try to protect our beloved animal children something unforeseen can always happen.
Misty and I have had a very tough year in many ways. It was 44 weeks on Monday 31 October 2016 since Hobson passed away in my arms. It took Misty 6 months to recover from her depression and her loss of appetite and during this time she would not allow another dog anywhere near her on our daily walks. Misty is much better now. I have been taking her on some different walks and we have met many nice dogs with their lovely owners, but she is still lonely. The time is not right yet to find her a friend.
You must be excited about your new adventure in the Scottish highlands. It would be fun to walk in the snow. I am certain Obi would love it.
Thank you for asking about us, Silvia. I often think of you and Obi.
Susan and Misty xxxx
