Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Sunday morning we collected our long anticipated addition to the family! He did very well, we waited with the breeder until he was comfy and drowsy in my arms before the final kisses were made and we were on our way. Luckily he didn't whine or more importantly vomit during our hour and twenty minute drive home. He went potty in our side yard and then we brought each of the dogs out one at a time to meet him. Meeting went well.
He then took a nap in his crate. My daughter came over with my 2 1/2 yr old
granddaughter, Lilly, and she and Dougal played outside until they were both ready for a nap!
He's eating well, was up several times in the night but went out to potty each time and didn't whine but a few times before returning to sleep. He's beautiful and funny and we love him!
Kim :-)
Ps....Not one accident in the house! (unless you count the few dribbles when he got slapped by the cat!) : (
You sound delightful Dougal. Enjoy your new family.
So very happy for you, it is only 6 month since I had this wonderful experiance, I could do it again everytime I read an artical like this. Enjoy your baby as I am sure you will, and keep the pictures coming. Huggs for ALL your reds <:0)
