Hi Myra, Hope you have a great year ahead and all your plans are fulfilled! Look forward to finally meeting you at Easter!! cheers, Cheryl
we have had off and on snow this winter, but we can't complain since this winter was a lot milder then usual;unlike what was happening in Europe this year.
Thank you somuch Myra - will have to get clicking so that I can post some pics. We might be in Perth towards the end of this year - maybe we can meet up?
My Setter story goes back a very long way. My grandparents bred Setters in the 1940s - I still have pics of them on the farm. My first one Wendy came from that stock around 1975. Then a huge gap in which I owned many other breeds, mainly Dachshunds - talk about chalk and cheese! Then in 2005 we visited the local SPCA (we live between Durban and Pietermaritzburg on the east coast) and there was this beautiful dog who had been brought in to be rehomed. I will find the story I wrote about him and let you have it. In 2010 we had to put him down as he had cancer of the lungs - one of the worst days of my life as he was my soul mate. In November 2011 a breeder dumped 2 Setters , a dog and an old bitch together with 7 beagles into the same SPCA - They then contacted me and asked if I could rehome him. A very special dog - has been severely abused but we have had him for 6 months now and he is much much better. We also have a Dachsie bitch whom we rehomed from an elderly couple who were moving into an old age home. There in a nutshell is my Setter story. They are simply the best. Marilyn

Hi Myra
Thanks for your message.
Feel honoured that you have welcomed me on board.
Although I haven't had an Irish Setter since childhood, have always loved the breed.
Will place a photo of Ruby up shortly.
