My White Faced Heron Friend, Sam
I uploaded this video to YouTube in January 2009. Sam was injured at this time. Where Sam chose to sit was about 6 inches away from me. The stones in the courtyard are sharp too. Sam rested either in our courtyard or on our verandah every day for about a year healing from his injuries. He knew he was safe here with me and my English Setters, Hobson, Rose and Hammer and my horses, Hallmark and Charlamayne. I used to sit with Sam as often as I could. Sam can walk normally now. His white faced heron mate has visited me and has thanked me for helping Sam.
