Exclusively Setters

Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Hi everyone,
Guess this is mainly for the Aussies just been sorting out my insurance renewal and did a couple of quotes. I am with Medicare.
Now my boy an Irish Setter $682, a Red and White Setter $461, as is a Golden Retriever, GSP and a German Shepherd.
how can an Irish be $200 + extra? Just about every dog I have checked is at the lower price apart from an Irish Wolfhound.
Bow Wow is a hundred dollars cheaper still $100 over a lot of other breeds.
The question is why that is a hell of a jump for an Irish.
Cheers Rosie

That's a shame thought I might be on a winner with Pet Plan.
I have re-insured with Medibank they have said as did Bow Wow they will insure for life accident and sickness, they have a 12000 ceiling.
My old dog had shocking injuries and couldn't afford to get extra help for her, as I found out later there was nothing that would have helped her anyway, just hate to have to put money before my precious boy.
Thanks for all your replys.
Oh Rosie by the way I live in Victoria Australia and should of said that, It might of explained it better. Talk soon.
Sorry Dianne think I got confused I'm also in Victoria so can look into it for next year I got a standard quote from them of $551 so is better than mine, still he is insured that's the main thing.
