Your recommendations appreciated for a good self catering holiday in France ......

Hi

I have been spending too much time searching for somewhere to go in the summer and then it came to me why not ask folks who may have already a great place to holiday in France .....

We are travelling from near Edinburgh and will use the tunnel to get to Calais and guess we dont want to travel too far when we get to France but I would like to find somewhere out of town a gite or villa with an enclosed garden with good walks, perhaps near a beach ..... Doesnt have to be huge but minimum two bedrooms as one son still falls in the category of no choice for him, he has to come! But somewhere for Murph and I to chill whilst the boys go fishing would be good!

Very nice place, not so far from the beach, but you need to drive 5 or 6 hours after calais I think.
