You speak the truth there, and I saw those hungarian dogs too, beautiful faces. To bad that is such a long trip for a baby to make. Yeah Pat Jesson was the breeder Rose got her male 'Fleetwood farms Jet Setter" from, he has the Thenderin blood that attracted me to the pups. Her momma, Candy, looks so much like my Heather back in the 70's I couldn't believe it.

I was going to ask if Jet Setter was the father. I enjoy Rose's site bc it gives me a good idea of what my pup will look like! I most likely saw Ellie's birth video! lol Ginger Snap is also Fleetwood.

The cost of a pup could be expensive to transport, but very little red tape involved(from Ireland anyway!!) I have sent 5 to the US;o)

Carmel,

Do you remember the cost of shipping? Do you know if they were registered with the AKC after they arrived here? How long a flight were they faced with? Sorry for all the questions, it would be wonderful to have an Irish irish. Saw your picfromat Crufts your girl is gorgeous!

Pat, when I said I wanted an IS for an anniv. present, my aunt asked why we didnt just go to Ireland for our anniv. and get a pup there?! (uh, yeah, wouldn't THAT be nice!) lol Do pups shipped here have to be quarantined for 6months?

I don't think quarantine is required but they have to meet certain vaccination requirements. I'm afraid the shipping might be the biggest worry and expense.

Yeah, shipping would be a worry and even twice as long to get to you as it would to reach me!

The pups I sent to the US went with their new owners and were only charged a small fee to go in cargo on the flight as extra baggage?? I believe the flight was only approx 5/6hours as they went to Boston! There is no quarantine necessary and only the usual vaccinations and health checks from my Vet with a letter stating the pups were healthy to travel! They do need to be vaccinated for rabies but not until they are 15 weeks old(after they arrive in the US) Ireland is rabies free. Every pup I sent arrived relaxed, clean and happy, as I had crate trained them before they went, they also mostly travelled with a second pup, so had company!! I think they had to travel before they reached 10 weeks of age? I dont know about registering with the AKC as mine went to pet homes! But I am sure there is no problem there!!
