Hi All, The Irish Gods have smiled on me. I now have a beautiful boy, Mercede. He came from a very loving home, and his ex-mum took pity on me when she heard I was Irish-less. In an act of extreme generosity, she gave me her beloved boy, knowing that I could offer him a home where he would receive one-on-one love and affection. It was a difficult choice for her, but she knew it was going to be a win-win situation for all concerned. He is a very affectionate boy, and has settled in so well, that you would think he has lived his whole life here with us. We love him so much, and cannot thank his ex-mum enough for making the sacrifice in parting with him. We live close to his previous home, and will remain in touch with his breeders, who still love him dearly. We also have a pup coming from a litter that was recently whelped. I cannot believe that after all these years of being without a red dog, I am about to have two. Our nine year old adopted greyhound loves his new brother. They are matched in temperament, if not in speed and stamina - the Irish is not as fast as Whisky, but he outlasts him on a walk. Will keep you posted re the new addition. Cheers, Pam
