I wonder if these people are trying to network to sell products. Do you remember another one a few months ago? She was apparently over in the States somewhere - I can't recall her name, but she sent friend requests out to all corners of the world ...

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I too have experienced this type of tragedy when I lost my young boy, Spencer at 14 months, also hit on the road. All my love to you at this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time.

About Me:
I live on 17 acres, north of Mackay, North Queensland, Australia. I have owned and loved English Type Irish Setters since 1988 when I got my first male Irish from Mary Clarke and Norm Clarke from the Rhuboda Kennel in Brisbane, Queensland. I then also bought a female from Rhuboda and bred my first litter in 1992.
Since then I have owned Irish Setters from the Kelliher, Brazenwinds, Linleymvorne and Nanyima Kennels.

oh yes we are more than pleased with her, seeing Jingles' progeny i couldn't take one, she combines a lot of our favourites in her pedigree so a lot ahead us. She will be our new foundation bitch as we had to stop with the last line. Health above all i say!
Have a plans for her in 2011 and can't wait it.
She is Lana now, although have had a troubles with it, meaning Wanda and Mara changing her name, for me and Dee she was Robynn since being born, but they gave her a loving home so I think we had to agree for it. Anyway 'Lana' is pretty as well.
Keep in touch

Hi Cheryl,

Guess to find YOUR breeder is a word of mouth thing. We found out when we met people with their Irish setters on the dog beach.

OK, I'll try again to add you as a friend. Wait and see what happens!

Hi Cheryl,

Good to meet you! I just tried to add you as a friend. Maybe it works this way? How did you hear about Brazenwinds?

A warm hello from WA

Hi Cheryl

It is the same girl...we and Aleks are co-owners of her...they imported her and wanted her to live with us...so we are very happy and are truly deserved that they gave her to us!!! she is just a little devil and really sweet with a very strong character...and we allready love her as much as we do love Senna our other girl
kind regards Mara en Wanda

Good evening Cheryl, thanks for your answer. I always thought that 'those things' do not happen to us because we have protected and trained our dogs for about 16 years as much as we could. But now we have a new generation of setter girls (1,5 years and 10 months) and everything has changed. So we have to cope with that new situation:-)
Are Irish Setters in Australia a rare breeding? Are Australians animal/dog-loving people? How could anyone run a dog over in your vast area? Love to talk to you in future:-)) Kerstin

Hi Cheryl, thanks for your sympathies. I sensed that there are more setter owners who have experienced similiar situations. Thankfully we were lucky. I am so sorry for your boy I know what it means losing a loyal companion. My old lady went over the rainbow bridge in May after 13,5 happy and joyful years. So I could not stand another tragic death this year. Greetings from Germany to Australia! Kerstin
