Was his PRA diagnosed by anyone??? He looks so kind, words fail me as to what we humans can do to these trusting animals, so unfair, but given the rite people they adapt so well that you wouldn't know that there is anything wrong with them. Until you look into their eyes
hello
yes, i took him to Dr Rui Oliveira a vet friend specialiezd in eye diseases and as soon as Artie whent to Gill´s she also took him to a vet in spain. they both agree on PRA. well....We were both hoping it to be just normal catarats but well...
its sad that he was putted behind in a shelter most sure because he was blind. as you said blind dogs can live normal happy lives and because they are so dependent on us they are quite easy to teach new behaviours. i rescued Artie and we both had the aid of lots of friends - because of his situation and because Artie was such a lovely dog everybody w hanted to help him. he is fine now living his "second life" with an english lady who loves the breed and is an extremly caring person.
Best regards
E.
Wonderful story who ended up so good for Artie. He diserves that and I hope he will have many, many happy year to come.
This Dr Rui Oliveira, is that the same as this Rui Oliveira who is judging at dogshows? Or is this a usual name in your country?
